Again... each game is different... it's not about figuring things out .. Mailata slips, Toth holds, Barkley slips, Hurts makes a bad throw, Fred Johnson whiffs on a block... these things kill drives and have nothing to do with Patullo.

The next game is going to be different and so on.

I agree 100%. There is a lot of luck that meshes with an incredible amount of skill and preparation that goes into a running game.

The Packers game had two beautiful illustrations of all of that, once in a play that went the Eagles way and the other that did not.

Those two plays show both how incredibly good Saquon is (the 41 yard swing pass with the spin move) and how unlucky a lot of his runs have been (the 4th Quarter minus 2 yard run where the O-Line opened a spectacular hole on the right side, but Evan Williams from his deep Safety position correctly diagnosed the play and got to that gaping hole just before Saquon did and wrapped him up for the TFL.

That second play was a superb execution by the O-Line. They couldn’t have done it any better. But Williams met their brilliance with some brilliance of his own (players come to play). Otherwise Saquon would have run 72 yards for a TD.

Defensive research, film study, and scheming is also a factor. A third play, another TFL of Saquon, clearly showed how opposing Defenses have come up with tactics to counter the Stoutland running scheme. The Packers D-Lineman timed his rush so that he could shoot the gap that Dickerson created when he was pulling on a play designed to have Saquon run to the right. Stoutland has to adjust the design of those pulling lineman plays so that an opposing D-Lineman doesn’t have an unblocked lane to the ball carrier.

Good illustration of how one missed timed block or great play from a defender or just luck that the play calls from each side matched perfectly for one team. It's football.... we move on.

It was good old-fashioned thinking.

"They had run a similar play earlier in the game on the touchdown drive that they had,” Ojomo said. "The quarterback came up, he said a word, they ran the play.

"And then the same thing happened on the 4th-and-1. It was like déjà vu. It was a word. It was like a one-word play. And they did that exact thing. So I was like, ‘Hey guys, this is what’s coming.’ So I just wanted to let everybody know that he literally just had this play.”

Josh Jacobs appeared to run to the right instead of the left as a response to the Eagles knowing the play. But with the blocking still going to the left, the play was a disaster, and Jaelan Phillips and Jalen Carter blew it up for a four-yard loss. Jacobs also fumbled on the play, although that didn’t matter since it was fourth down.

"He knew what was coming,” Ojomo said of Carter. "It allows him to play faster."

Jacobs told reporters after the game that he heard Ojomo calling out the play and knew it was doomed from the start.

I’ve asked Ham that question at least a dozen times. He has yet to answer. What is it about that question that scares him so much?

Nothing scary at all for me…I’m nothing but consistent. Don’t care about stats much other than…the key is:want to see the team growing and improving. Be their best at the end. This season the way the schedule lined up? More important to probably focus on getting Ws. So I’ll volunteer this is my one main inconsistent. Otherwise I’ve clearly punted towards the same consistent source of our struggles on O being felt the most….the more Siri’s influence is over the O? Yep…similar results every time.

Only 1 rookie WR doesn't help much. How would we do if we only had Dotson?(and he's not even a rookie)

We should have one incoming after this next draft

Agreed 100%

Stoutland is too good a coach not to figure out an adjustment to address the DTs following the pulling Guard through the weak side space that puller opens when he pulls. Motioning the TE from the play side so that he can wham block the DT as he comes through the gap is one possibility.

This goes to what I preach about how valuable the people around Carter are. Ojomo set Carter up perfectly!

By the way…what kind of KO are we seeing? Exactly what I said should happen before the first one was ever kicked.

That was a long winded, meandering "style points are more important than wins for Ham.”

Thank you for the answer.

How do you rank the team needs from the Draft at this point?

Our picks are

1st Round late - our own pick

2nd Round late - our own pick

3rd Round early - Jets pick

3rd Round late - Comp pick

4th Round late - our own pick

4th Round late - Comp pick

5th Round middle - Falcons or 49ers pick

5th Round late - Comp pick

Semantics. I should have worded it as "Ham believes wins are less important than style.”

Providing the link is good journalism. It allows the readers to go to the source and see the quote in its full context. That is simply being polite … a good neighbor.

That would take a long time to answer. Have we already witnessed AJ’s on the downturn? Are we extending our new Edge?…..

Week three wins are less important to me than the must win games..true

Which I went infinite steps further and provided you with the insider source. Your welcome.

And that is important because?

If you read the article and watch the games you will see that a variety of kickoff approaches are being used, and mixing and matching those approaches keeps the receiving team off guard.

Thinking hard and low is the kick

A win is a win. They all count the same in the standings. In the tie breaker formula the Week Three win is more important than a Week 17 important win this season.

You should count to ten before you post. You will avoid misstatements that way.

Yeah I’m mostly referring to the postseason…but maybe that final divisional game or late playoff seeding matchup.
