Jimmy Kempski of The Philly Voice shared his thoughts on Johnson's past couple of practices:

"We noted in Saturday's practice notes that rookie UDFA Montrell Johnson had an explosive run after a nice jump cut. He had another explosive run today that got the attention of Saquon Barkley and Jalen Hurts, who both went out of their way to give Johnson kudos after the run."   Yeah Kempski is a chump. Bark and Hurts must be too since they went out of their way to praise him

Did nothing but impress everyone. His only "fault" was we were full up in the RB room. Just clueless

To me this is so key. Taking advantage of how the team has been built. Gainwell on the same play it’s a nice 12 yard gain. Huge difference.

Gains sucks,you told us so

You think you have earned the respect of your peers?

Supposedly consigliere Dom had AJ and Lurie have a sit down.

You speak of TC the way I very much focus on whether a player can handle the highest moments and pressures.

SO we will lose if all our players suck. They will lose is all their players suck

Yeah…not what I agree with. More involved than just that.

So who is more useful to where teams have used the player more? Sanders or Gainwell? Why do both the Eagles and Pittsburgh trust Gainwell in multiple situations and yet Sanders doesn't seem to be liked by any team?

In TC this is true of ANY player. MJ never got the chance because we were full up at RB. That was his "fault" not lack of performing. Just clueless

Right the LB's will cover and DeJean comes in also. Not real hard to do. It's only a few plays anyhow

Thought DeJean outside if only two WR formation. So when inside that means three wr in. How does DeJean cover Gibbs in each of these scenarios?

A quick pass doesn't allow the defense to over play anything though. Snap then quick pass is ideal as Gibbs will be where he is and no fake or deception of any other play being run.

D and DC can’t overcommit to run or pass

Negates any pass rush

Right, no time to overcommit when it's a quick pass. Makes it easier for the D to cover.

If Fangio gambles with blitzing when they have the Gibbs pass play setup we’ll get toasted big time.

Why would we move DeJean out? Who covers their TE?

And makes it easier to cover without any deception. Any fakes or any time for other routes to develop deeper to provide Gibbs with room.

Detroit should be 9-0 then? You have uncovered the league's best weapon (3 passes to Gibbs a game)

They’ve been a top contending team failing to become champions the most for the last several years.

Who covers that third Slot WR if DeJean has Gibbs?

So you don't think on a blitz, that they will have a plan for the outlet pass? It's a new concept? Detroit never gets blitzed?

Our LB's can't blitz because they suck we've already established that

With two WR and DeJean outside how does he cover Gibbs?

Why did they fail?

The S on the other side?

Can Detroit control what personnel packages they put on the field creating their matchup against DeJean as the answer?

With 2 WR's we play 2 CB's? Why would DeJean be outside?
