Acho did break down lot of the good passes Hurts had as well the one dot to AJ in the EZ that was dropped

There is no consistent play from Hurts. I also was calling some "nice passes" in game. but then you get a bonehead play that wipes all the good away(and as you said not just Hurts) but I'm not giving Hurts a pass either

IDK if there is a stat for "on target" and off target, but I will assume Hurts is off more than he is on

We need to win 3 of the next 4. I have little confidence vs Buffalo

Sure, he's not a trained RB and I'm not too sure he's a trained QB at this point either

Nobody trains for that moment

Now try just opening your mind to consider things in a completely different point of view here. I see things as this weakest nonscheme O is actually what you are talking about. That with debatably the most talented O personnel and exceptional culture our guys have been able to astoundingly overcome such a pathetic situation to levels never accomplished before.

My mind has been open and i have avoided criticizing Hurts but 50% passing for the past 2 games? Seriously?

Maybe you should open your mind

I’m just like what do we do if we can’t get anything going first half against the Raiders? Will we finally try and change things?

QB change? Siri taking the play calling? Neither might work but at some point we have to try something else if what we are doing isn’t working.

Maybe Lurie just playing it close to the vest but doesn’t sound like he is considering making a coaching change after the season even if we don’t right the ship.

Firing Patullo is just a scapegoat move

At some point it has to be the HC or the QB moved and seems like we are to scared to figure out who the real issue is.

Siri was "more involved" vs LA. For me alot of the "bad calls" weren't bad, they were poorly executed. Shot ourselves in the foot WAY too many times as you already pointed out

My eyes tell me he throws a great long ball but lacks the accuracy in the short to midrange game

If he's not a threat to run defenses don't worry about the passing game

Granted last game Brown and Patullo didn't do him any favors

That last int in OT it looked like he panicked> It was 1st down, wasn't it?

I have us winning, but still not performing. We only win because it's the Raiders. We don't have alot of time to make this right

Why does play calling need to change? Everyone keeps pointing to different plays where the QB makes the wrong read. In addition to drops, and missed blocks etc. There is no magic play call that works without proper reads and execution.

I don't see this great long ball...I see him putting air under it and his WRs having ti make contested catches because of it.

And which plays specifically are your complaints vs Patullo? 21-40... 4 picks and some drops... what else do he have to do... can't have this EVERY PLAY!

Even the RPO the wrong read is being made

Idk don’t throw the ball into triple coverage horrible play by the QB…. Even without the DT dropping was still a bad read into tight double coverage

You blame QB for a bad read…when the DC predicted our play and dropped a DT back to stop it. He dropped his DT

Hurts also said he didn’t do a good job communicating what he wanted done on that play it’s also on the QB to get on the right page with his playmakers.

Absolutely. Whole unit needs to work as one. Something that’s been missing badly this season.

IMG_0009.pngSo are we just going to act like Hurts shouldn’t have seen a what 300 pound DL sitting right at rh 1st down maker…. Mind you Hurts is just starting to throw the ball…. This is 100% on the QB just a terrible read completely not seeing a 300 pound DL

But the problem stems from how did the DC know to call and do exactly this? The much bigger issue.

And it isn’t even like he is being rushed to make the pass he has a relatively good pocket

It’s a timing play…as soon as AJ finishes his wiggle gotta hit him. That was the playcall…which Chargers predicted.

So in the car today listening to 2 different stations.

Ike Reese show had Jaws as the guest analyst... he was ripping Hurts pretty good and he is a huge Hurts fan. Apparently this week the guys are really calling out the misreads and bad decisions by Hurts. Multiple analysts have said this week was the best scheme wise with the different concepts used.

A poll was done... more people answered than usual. The question " would you trade Jalen Hurts and TWO 1ST round picks to Cincy for Joe Burrow"

The poll results... 50.3% yes. 49.7% no

Joe burrow is interesting…but he did come up short in the SB. Injured all the time. Burrow is the one guy I consider trading straight up for Hurts. But nah

Yup the wide open Dotson if only the QB didn’t throw right to the DT right in front of his face held the ball half second longer but yea it isn’t an excuse for Hurts

Wasn’t it third and two? That was the playcall and move…to convert first down. Not every moment is the play to go for it.

2 turnovers on the same play is crushing it?? yeah, crushing our chances to win

This wasn’t the playcall to crucify Hurts over.

Acho wasn’t known as that knowledgable of a defender even

Fair enough…feels like you did consider an alternate view point. I try to always have an open mind and listen/consider everything. Just see it very differently. Exactly why I was so upset we went down this path again.

We’ve known the real issue in 2021 at 2-5

I agree he forced it under the pressure of having to score TD. Still question why that defender could be near enough to do that. I mean what play design features that? Shouldn’t there be more spacing…like much more?

Still he had to put more zip on that pass to get it there

Who can we point towards as playing great on O this season?
