the eye test for one, plus it's very easily proven in the replays. which they showed during the game after every miss. it's about as easy as it gets when it comes to analyzing film. there is no debate, it's not the snaps, and it's not the holds, it's 100% on elliot.

If Chicago loses twice... we shouldn't assume they just win a playoff game after losing 2 games. So let them have 2. If they win one..then they get 2 anyway

We could assume Seattle takes care of Carolina or Tampa would win the rematch. Idk... but it would take Carolina winning BOTH for us to drop to 4.

Plus I still think our backups can beat Washington the last week.

Tossing this out for discussion. When Lane gets to 100% can we put Fred Johnson at RG while we search for both positions? He has some false start issues,but has only allowed 1 sack since he's been replacing Lane. I know he played both positions in college(Florida)

IDK it's still possible to get the 2 seed, which would make some difference POSSIBLY. Then the question becomes "is it worth the risk?" As far as I can tell these guys want to play no matter what. Of course it's up to Siri, but I see no inclination that they want to sit out. Lane needs to sit this one out

With a win(I think we play before Chicago???) we could put alot of pressure on them possibly causing them to lose knowing they are in a must win

Joe makes a good point. If Chicago loses these next two weeks, why would we then assume they win their playoff game as the #2 seed? There would be no difference round 2 if we are 3 and they lose as the #2 seed. We would get the 2nd home game anyway!

I posted the scenarios. What you say would be true if Chicago played the early games, then we would know if they won or lost. But seeing as we play first a win would mean they would be in a must win situation in the later game. Most likely we will remain the#3, but there is a way to the #2

For the Birds to improve to the 2-seed, which is the spot they held last January when they won the Super Bowl, they need to root hard against the Bears — a team that looks really good right now and wins a head-to-head tiebreaker against Philadelphia. If the Eagles can win both their games to finish the year, they would leapfrog Chicago if the Bears lost both their remaining games. The Bears play the 49ers and the Lions, both teams with a lot to play for still.

So,if we want the #2 we MUST win both games. We can probably skate with the wuss, but with Buffalo we would need all hands on deck. So the question remains, is the difference between the 2 and 3 seeds worth the injury risk?
