April 24, 20241 yr Boyz really need OL. If we do go that way, would be fun to jump in front of them AGAIN!
April 24, 20241 yr Author https://www.nfl.com/draft/tracker/prospects/cb/all-colleges/all-statuses/2024?page=1 I would personally not give up the draft capital for Mitchell. he looks great on paper. He rates out on PFF here as the top guy but STILL a starter in year 2. That's fine, not knocking the kid.if he fell to 22 I would consider him,but JMO he isn't worth a move up. he hasn't played against the top schools,so these "explosive" numbers are inflated in my view. And if this kid busts out, Howie will never take another DB, until 6 guys are carrying him from the hearse. I'm sure everyone else will be gung ho, but that's a big lift for maybe the highest risk CB in the round 1 scenario. If he's there at 22 it's different for ME PERSONALLY than giving up things to make that high of a lift
April 24, 20241 yr Author https://utrockets.com/sports/football/schedule/2023 Here was the "brutal" Toledo schedule. Just sayin(and that's Miami of Ohio not Miami,FL lol)

April 24, 20241 yr Author 35 minutes ago, GreenbleedinNC said: Just PO,I don't think Mitchell fits here well, and well, Toledo was not exactly playing any powerhouse clubs. Moving up for a small school guy is adding even more risk Howie should know by now speed is not the only parameter. Maybe he wants him to cover his other round 1 disaster pick Reagor

April 24, 20241 yr Author https://www.nbcsportsphiladelphia.com/nfl/philadelphia-eagles/have-the-eagles-drafted-better-in-the-2nd-round-than-the-1st/580508/ Once again what if we traded back out of round 1 altogether(or down into the 30's). Me and a friend had this discussion. You may or may not get a "STUD", but you're going to fix alot of spots with excellent solid prospects and get additional picks for more than adequate back ups in an overly stacked draft class. The world would not actually end with this strategy 🤣

But then he backed it up dominating drills designed to make WR look good at the Senior Bowl. He’s a stud!
April 24, 20241 yr Author 35 minutes ago, cunninghamtheman said: dominating drills Drills may or may not translate to actual play. This would be an uneducated assumption especially with a small school player who hasn't even faced the best competition at the college level. Going from covering the WR from Ball state,is different than covering Lamb. I would rather have the guy that had to cover Harrison
April 24, 20241 yr Small schools debates are interesting for sure the obvious is they don’t always play against the best talent but on the flip side they don’t have the best supporting cast either. Even in the secondary if you have elite pass rushers and S over the top can aid in a massive way to the outside CB. I don’t truly have an opinion on Mitchell either way but he has to be doing something right even multiple teams are reportedly high on him high enough they are willing to move up to get him.
April 24, 20241 yr Author As I said if he fell to 22,maybe,but move a up and losing draft capital in my opinion would be crazy based on one days "drills".for a guy that has yet to face any serious competition. Howie is setting himself up for another Reagor pick. I would not personally do it. I would take Brock Bowers before this guy
April 24, 20241 yr Just to add more to the rumor mill leading up to tomorrow draft also rumors going around we are interested in trading up for a WR or TE Bowers

I never said he would be a bad choice, but it's lot more "blind faith" for a small schooler than a guy who has been battle tested over a solid college season. At 22,I could see it but giving up assets for a higher risk failure just compounds the failure. So that is my opinion about it

IDK why we would move for a WR? Who are we replacing? The top guys won't want to run slot routes for peanuts. Bowers is another story, that would make me happy

April 24, 20241 yr Author Bowers would make this offense nearly unstoppable. I can play QB, and I will do it for 1/4 salary 🤣
April 24, 20241 yr Author As I sad before Howie loves to move up high, then move back again, fleecing 2 teams going both directions

We have nfl scouts we should have educated guesses on any player big or small shouldn’t be blind faith on any of them lol. I don’t have an opinion on Mitchell haven’t watch enough of him to have one if hope our scouts have. Not just 2023 games but his entire career plus senior bowl , drills, workouts etc.

He obviously isn’t going to start over Geodart The 1/2 punch. We had Ertz/Goedert. After Goedert showed he could be the 1 we traded Ertz in the middle of the night. I'm sure Bowers could do the same. Bowers is the next Gronk
April 24, 20241 yr Author Howie moves around, that's not a big surprise. Up down,he will move to get guys he wants and add capital. The media acts like this is some astounding story they have to tell. like it's never happened before
