We paid Boston Scott just under 2m to be our backup find it hard to image us paying much more then that for a backup RB. Then even with the out we would have to eat dead money which you loath or pay Sanders like 8m
May 24, 20241 yr Just doesn’t sound like a logical move to trade for Sanders if he gets cut and we can get him for around 2m sure but otherwise meh

How much would we really be willing to spend on a backup RB? Zero,we have the RB's we need, don't see a need to pay anyone else. If Bark went down we can add one. Gains Ship and the other kid would be ok in rotational RBBC. Would just need to alter the playbook a bit
May 24, 20241 yr Author https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/free-agents/_/year/2024/status/available/position/rb/sort/contract_value Available FA RB's. If you wanted to add one of them, under 2 mil that would be fine with me if you REALLY need to have one. I kind of liked Damien Harris although he was never used much so IDK what he is capable of

He is a first and second down RB...gives nothing as far as pass blocking or receiving and nothing on special teams. He could pay the Eagles to play...still makes no sense.

May 25, 20241 yr All these freaking C on the team and we had Toth as second team C…again…oh lord. Didn’t work last off season…what would have improved?

It was so bad they were forced to make the move last offseason. He’s like our fifth best C…yet he’s in the second string taking snaps at C. His worst position along the line.

Can't say I am a Toth fan,but they have to work out everyone at camp to make informed cut decisions. Just because he takes snaps doesn't mean he will be on the 53. We got the C from NC state as a rook prospect. NC state was a fairly formidable team last year and he was the O line anchor

Hennessy they have as second team RG…that’s what’s creating this issue.

Well once again, they need to see guys play, not go by last year, especially since the new coaches need to see these players in action they have never seen before. So everyone gets a shot, then you know who to keep. I would suspect the rook C stays on even if it's the PS

So ...Hurts can improve reading " the complicated NFL defenses" but a dude can't improve flipping a ball 5 yards through his legs?

If the Eagles pay you half a million dollars or whatever. ...you have no other job... you don't think a year from now you could snap a football?
May 25, 20241 yr Like that's it... you can only learn snapping a football by a certain age? Yet magically a guy could learn to process and make decisions reading a " complicated NFL defense" ...because he can squat 600 lbs?
