I don’t hate Gainwell….just see him as a third stringer. He did’t  just take the first snap to start last season. He got all the touches accept for one carry given to Swift. Siri got saved from himself with Gainwell not being able to suit up for week two at least.

Once again many possible reason(we have already been through this) Maybe Swift had stomach flu and couldn't go

Same possible reason been the whole time since Gainwell was drafted….he’s Siri’s boy. Over and over and over again…it’s shown.

You love fixing your agenda around any player you hate on. Panthers were a complete train wreck. Worst team in the league. You putting all that on Sanders? They demoted, fired ….everybody possible…except for Bryce.

Sanders got demoted I think in week 4 or the tail end of game 3 as I recall.. Little impact for money spent. Train wreck because they gave all their player away(see DJ Moore and McCaffrey)

If he's siri's boy how did Swift get twice the yardage?

Because Gainwell got injured and couldn’t suit up week two. Swift was promoted to starter and went for 175 yards. Siri couldn’t shove Gainwell in front of that anymore. Always was very obvious to everybody else the talent gap between Swft and Gainwell.

https://www.espn.com/nfl/team/stats/_/name/phi/table/rushing/sort/rushingBigPlays/dir/desc More BS. Snap count not close. Swift even got more air yards. So by week TWO he was no longer Siri's boy??? Yep that's correct

Well very obvious to everybody not being Siri or the other posters here…that is.

What should have been very apparent…couldn’t be denied by a blind man after 175 yards.

I'm saying Chubba Hubbard won the starting job over Sanders...because Hubbard was better.

Yes...by carrying 4 times a game...lol

Why do we compare Hubbard to Swift?

Compare Hubbarrd to Sanders

Right,so after week 2 he was no longer Siris boy, which means you are basically bishing about ONE game LOL

And Swift had injury history... the season is 17 games... it's not a video game, you seem to forget this.

This is why I compare the Pro Bowler to Hubbard

I don't think Gainwell was ever " Siri's boy"   He was forced into 3rd down role ASAP because of Sanders inability to do anything except for rush the ball through a big hole.   Last year the whole idea " Swift has never been healthy the whole year, the Eagles can't force him the ball too often...etc"  You watch the first game and see what happened?   I don't think the plan was ever to give any one of them the serious workload.  Swift with 229 carries... in 16 games... 14.3 per game... I don't think they planned on giving him more.   Where they missed out was the other 70-80 carries from RB 3.  To me this caused the QB1... who we all know needs the running game to max out his style of game... he passed too much and the offense wasn't as good.

Barkley should carry more of a single load... so that should eliminate as much need for RB3... but I still think that's the best way to do it, using all 3.  Some games we should run close to 40 times... I'm not in love with Barkley doing it 35 times and another guy 5... gotta take some away from Barkley by using RB3.  A fresh RB 3, even if just one drive per half and two or three carries in a row.

This is why nobody ever understands your thinking.   Hubbard beat out Sanders.. the system was football.  Hubbard is a better football player than Sanders.  Sanders is done... we don';t need to talk about him anymore. No longer the Eagles problem, on the field or in the locker room.

Glad you can speak for everybody. Seems pretty clear when you make a statement about” in what world could Hubbard beat out any starting RB?” I   then point out how very closely statistically he stacked up to our Pro Bowl RB Swift. Yet he played on a terrible team. Not sure whom else can’t understand that thinking besides you? Seems like I just very obviously pointed out the gaping hole in your statement.

How were they close in stats....Swift and Hubbard...  902 vs 1049... and Hubbard had 9 more carries... % and yards per carry its not close.

Swift smoked Hubbard.  Hubbard smoked Sanders.   Move on from Sanders...take the L here...you called it wrong saying he has special talent. He runs through wide open holes...that's it.

Lol....it's close...  239 for 902 = 3.78.

228 for 1049 = 4.6.     More than 0.8 yards per carry over 230 carries... that's a big difference.

But No Mas ...the TDs...  wonder why Swift's TDs were only 5??   Couldn't be the tush push... lol.

The moral of the story....we have the only Penn State RB we need. Move on.
