I mean Davis has the weight and frame as tools for those things, but did he do it at Kentucky? he would be a "prospect". As I said when I posted him,he is rough, needs coaching. IDK if he could work into the rotation year 1 but I don't see why not. BGN also brought up Allen. I like him too,but Howie would need to use a higher pick and not sure he would. I suppose it depends on who we get in FA,but we;re going to have to find one if we aren't going to re-sign Swift. personally I would like to keep him(Swift) here. He had a nice run early for us before the wheels came off. I will be watching Davis intently at the combine

BTW Davis O line wasn't the best either,so look at that also

I like this find by you. I was skeptical about the early weak competition he faced. Did notice several fairly large holes he busted through their blocking created. In the FL game didn’t realize if it was schematic playcalling or fantastic Oline play? But they did create huge lanes up the gators gut. He had two impressive plays by himself that game also.

Davis has weak acceleration, that needs work, but if he hits second gear he can be brutal

Have to see if he remains in round 5. IDK that he will. But RB's are no longer priority picks now. Lots of decent ones can be had late. Have to see if he moves up boards or not

All my years observing college and pro football I’ve learned to notice the particular details much more. Great playcall versus an advantageous D alignment doesn’t do much as far as any players translating to the higher level of the game. Good awareness and hands tends to translate. Players can’t be slow. But speed really isn’t everything. A ‘Real Football Player’ doesn’t only come in the form of guys running 4.3 forties. Awareness overcomes faster players that let that speed carry them in the wrong directions that much faster.

The trade back to 28 netted the 60 pick and Stover would be a terrific TE2

Don’t believe that’s a quality that can be coached to improve. He can be taught by track coaches to come out of the gates like a sprinter quicker. But that’s just part of the whole draft process all these kids are brought through these days.

Smith is the top SLOT WR in this draft, also a great addition besides Davis. Carlies(S) is being under rated in my view. If I get him in 5 as well as the others I would be very happy

I don’t fully support RBs not being priority picks. Can have that RB player get 20 touches. Be involved effecting many more plays than just those he touches the ball as well.

With a not so hot O line I'm wondering if there is a bit of being tentatvie(as opposed to patient),so perhaps his initial burst isn't as bad as it seems???? The combine will tell me more

My early leanings are towards trading back similar to where you chose at 28. But falling from 22 to 28 needs to fetch more than just the 60th pick. Has the perception of being just a give up trade because you can’t decide whom to take at 22.

Corum one of the better RB's this draft. I don't see him going in round 1. Most teams now use the RBBC. I'm seeing RB's in late 2 early 3 so they don't seem to be a priority

I think in that mock I got a 4th or 5th in the 2025 draft which doesn't show on this years mock. So pick 60 and a 4th/5th in 2025

22 to 28 move on the first round if the draft I have to consider moving back a Tier level of talent.

6 spots. 6 players coming off the board. That’s significant to me.

You can’t look anywhere and find any fan that values Day Two of the draft more than me either.

To move back from 22 to 28 for only gaining the 60th pick? I would only move that direction if the prevailing consensus concluded that portion of the draft was dreadful place to reside in.

I was impressed by Davis going on a deep route TD,so he is a threat in the RZ

LOL I got Stover with pick 60 and a nice edge at 28 and another pick in 2025. We need quality AND quantity

Needs work on his balance. If he gets that down he can be a beast

Oh well long way to go.just taking first shots at it LOL

Not the only trade possibility, just that was the best one at the time

At this point who knows what’s going on. I definitely think there’s something because of course the team are going to deny it.

I'm not really sure. But the fact from the article remains that Adam Schefter texted "someone" in the organization. This could've been a player, coach, office personnel or even Howie or Lurie. And yes, of course denial would be my expected response. We never know. So I don't put much weight in this stuff.
