Spending the money is just happening any which way. So just need to get it right. While combination of extending a few of our own guys. Picking up the right vet FAs. Then drafting well. Maybe add in a trade at the end the finish it all off.

After an article by Marcus Hayes in which two Eagles players told him the coaching staff played favorites last season, it’s hard to believe this was essentially the same team that almost beat the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl less than a year before.

If you were an offensive lineman — Jordan Mailata, Cam Jurgens, or Landon Dickerson — you got treated differently than if you were Jason Kelce or Lane Johnson. And heaven forbid you were a young defensive lineman, like Jordan Davis or Jalen Carter, who could do no right in the last two months, as opposed to Fletcher Cox or Brandon Graham, the former of whom disappeared in the latter part of the season and the latter of whom didn’t show up in the former part of the season.

At the time, this sounded like standard bellyaching from the proletariat — players unwilling to recognize the unspoken entitlement of $255 million quarterbacks and future Hall of Fame players. Now, though, as reports surface about deeper locker-room malignancy, these complaints, if not the root of the collapse, might at least have contributed to it.

The playing of favorites to Gainwell has been the real head scratcher.

Been thinking this for awhile since Doug that we have just been awful at refilling our staff once the first guys leave… Begs the question what happens if we turn it around next year Moore coaches a good O Hurts is playing somewhere between 22 and 23 versions of himself so the norm… Moore gets interest for HC jobs possibly poached????

Not all the much of a head scratcher he was literally the only RB that could pass block at a decent level… why I want a guy like Barkley that can do it all and stay on the field so we don’t have that drop off

If the QB stinks,it doesn't matter how many stars you have. Falling down like a little girl and leaving yardage on the field inspires no one. They saw Hurts being a ball hog, missing wide open receivers,just a real regression after he got the big loot. Now he has nothing to play for. He got the dangling carrot and he quit on this team. Nobody in pee wee's takes a sack in the EZ. He chokes in the big moments. That's 2 in 2 years,the SB drop and the sack at TB. Inexcusable

My opinion on Hurts hasn’t altered much im on record as being unimpressed by the tush push that’s more OL then Hurts… and he is a meh passer…. But he is usually a plus runner(last year he seemed hurt), and protects the ball(last year was again an off year).

So if Hurts can protect the ball add the extra value as a rusher and slight step up as a passer we should be fine

He has no clue it's a balancing act between talent and cap. You can dream of having both but it's not happening

He was a + runner last year. This year he ran a little and fell down, or ran OOB,or takes EZ sacks in crucial games. he looked like a rookie many times. back to 1 read and run again too. No field vision,it was horrible
