Mocks are not stupid, they give you insight to players you maybe never heard of which causes you to look them up. Draftek is mock drafts 325 days a year. Scouting never stops now except to watch the SB 1/2 time show. Do you know who Harrison even is? If not,you should,,if you do,then where does he fall and how does that affect your teams pick? Can you name the top 20 draftees off the top of your head without looking? If not,you refer to a mock to find out. I do them ALL the time,so I am stupid but I bet I know more players that fall in our range than you do and who is out of reach when we are on the clock. Doesn't so so stupid to me,so when I post a mock just ignore my stupidity My post was not a shot at anyone here. I just think they are stupid. Personal opinion is all. I think you pay a LOT of scouts to put a draft board and list together. I would not listen nor refer to Mel Kiper or Todd Mcshay or any of those bozos. I would hire guys that know what to look for and have them advocate for draft board lists. Then I would take the best player available with that list as a strategy. Period. Hell yeah I would take a QB if he was my best player available at 22. Same with Harrison. Holes, can be filled with free agents. Every team is going to have holes no matter what. Teams that draft for need and REACH for a position usually lose in the draft. Thats the reason I would always stick with that strategy. So please don’t take offense. Definitely NOT calling you or anyone stupid. Calling the talking heads (ESPN, ETC) obsession with mock drafts stupid.

March 1, 20241 yr Author Vikes released RB Mattison. He would be a great fit here in the RBBC. Byard officially gone

SO with 2 round 2 investments why would we continue to invest until we know if one of the other 2 (or both) work out? My round 1 pick starts-period

There are zero "elite" RB's in this draft. I'm fine with Davis in round 5. Re-sign swift, add Mattison in FA and we have Gains still. Davis to the PS,your starters would be Swift,Gains and Mattison. We could do worse and it's not a horrendous amount of money

Rather buy more for a Barkley then bring back swift personally if we going the FA route… otherwise rather get a guy like Elliott/Mattison would work too and draft a RB
March 1, 20241 yr If we are going to pay a RB would rather have a guy that can be on the field for all three downs and for that need a guy that can pass protect and not be a liability like Swift in that area.

After starting why would he accept a BU role? Mar clearly on his downside,so I can understand that. Brissett has mostly always been a BU and has accepted that role. he is familiar with our staff. He's the best BU in my opinion if Hurts goes down, you don't need to retool the offense. The styles are similar enough

There are no round 1 worthy RB's in this draft, let alone"elite"

At any rate I wouldn't use a high pick on a RB when we need so many other things. I have Davis in round 5. He is a solid prospect. I really love Washington as a slot WR pick. Round 3/4 and he can start right off the bat

Mattison-the Vikes turned him loose. Don't need a 3 down RB with a running QB. RBBC is fine with me
