Like I said maybe he had friends on the other team. Lots of factors involved. BTW Huff can play DE or DT  and he can change on any play. very versatile. Kind of like the C/G guys although I suspect we use him at DE. We need those guys we drafted to step up now. It's their time. I REALLY wanted Luvu,but once again you can't always get what you want

Makes that whole situation all the worse. Pass rushers are so coveted….yet we’ll see what we get for our guy. The CGJ signing even. Supposedly we walked away from retaining him last offseason over so much less money. Now this offseason sign him for twice the amounts being rumored we headlined last offseason? He was pretty much injured all season even. Missing most of the season shouldn’t have increased his value so greatly. I’m sure his rumored signing is being packaged to us as much bigger than reality. It’s a "could be up to contract.” Meaning CGJ gets his respect of media reporting 3 year at 33 or whatever…when the real pay isn’t that.

It's expensive for Howie,he usually gets guys under 2 mil. Howie went out of his comfort zone and I hope he can do that in the draft

Clearly in 2011 we had plenty of cap room to sign anyone.... Zero LBs.   Clearly its an organizational philosophy for decades ...not to spend on LB.   Clearly there has always been money for that, but it's just a choice not to spend.
