They need to produce these faster. The two year wait is annoying as hell.

Didn't the strike push it back?

I feel like this was always the plan. Could be wrong but I feel like they announced pretty early on that it would be a 2024 show.

GoT is filmed in the UK/Europe with mainly European actors, so wasn't affected by the Hollywood strikes as there is a different deal in place locally.  I believe that included writers too

Nope.  They were only able to film because the scripts were completed.

They weren't able to edit or make changes, so that is why it is delayed.

Some great marketing

Team Black though I suspect Greens will win since they occupy the current stronghold and mental populace of the masses

HBO have absolutely hit the marketing out of the part of season 2.  Cannot wait to watch it

I heard the internet was burning this morning about HOTD. Can't wait to watch it after work

Yeah - it was a rather uneventful season opener until it.....wasn't

Nice!  I selfishly want HOTD to be GoT at it's best. WTF just happened on a regular basis.

It was very much like that.  When I say uneventful, that's not really true.  Tons happened, but the ending was a real shocker (to the non-book readers) and I'm sure that's what everyone is buzzing about.

We’re back!

Ho, Ho! So I see the great Cousin F'ing contest is back on. Eventually I'll buckle and resubscribe, prolly.

Spoiler

I loved how they didn't skimp on the kid getting his head chopped off sounds effects. Made sure you knew what had gone on without showing it.

If this continues, this season will be mega.

I always rewatch my Thrones/Dragons.

In doing so last night, some solid touches were picked up on. The rat catcher Cheese was walking out of the Small Council Chamber (having just finished setting up or maybe picking up a trap) as Aegon and Alicent/Cole were arriving. Another great foreshadow is Aegon arriving in Helena's room prior to the council meeting looking for his son, he walks over to his daughter (back turned to him on some Inception level) and its not until he gets to her and sees her face that he's able to tell that its not the son and asks where he is (similar to Blood and Cheese not being able to decipher the two). Just a couple solid touches that show quality attention to detail in making this show.

While I am still Team Black, I was surprised at how I liked the Dragoncock's interactions with the smallfolk in the Great Hall and the fact that dude actually knows his kids enough to tell the girl and the boy apart. He was such an unlikable figure in Season 1 that them making kind of like the dude in the span of a few scenes is pretty remarkable.

His description of the bread being a baguette is equally as dumb. I've had cheese steaks and he made me think of France  What a numb nuts
