Official PE.com roster doesn't have anything right. So Stoll is 83 now 89. Shipley is 39 not 28. Sterns is 37 no 30. I know their website sucks but geez.

Whole thing is a disaster waiting to happen

OK am I reading too much in to it? All of the statements about Burks are that he was promoted to the active roster, not signed to it. Promoted to the roster is the verbiage used when describing Practice Squad call ups.

I think they usually refer the PS call ups as elevated now. Promoted in this case is signing to the 53. No one can be elevated right now anyway.

Odd -- I'd have gone with Stoll. Now for week 1, you're locked into elevating Stoll and Gates (need a 3rd TE and backup C). You likely need to keep Wilson active, and I guess this means he is over his concussion. So you deactivate McKee, Kinnard, Keegan, Hunt, Booker, Ricks, and...Burks? Trotter Jr.? DeJean? McCollum?

I'd likely deactivate DeJean or McCollum.

Tbh feels like elevating burks means they thought someone might sign him to their 53 man active roster and/or they need more proven depth behind white/baun/dean. I believe his salary is guaranteed since he’s on the active roster week 1.

Popped up on my memories.  10 yrs ago.  Classic 🤣

Interesting that he's in a massive brace now. Had been doin all his other rehab work in just a sleeve

Maybe when the step up activity they go to more support initially, and then ease up as his knee gets accustomed to the new level of stress.

I’ve always thought this was dumb. The schedules are so complicated, why not make it like the draft. Super Bowl winner gets the hardest schedule.

Theoretically they do.  It's just that most of the games, 14, are against whole divisions.  They play 6 in division games, 4 games against a division in conference and 4 against an out of conference division.  The idea is that every NFL plays every other team in the League every 4 years.  The remaining 3 games are based on finish the prior season, 2 in conference and one out of conference.   This projection of strength of schedule is based on Vegas over/under win totals not win/loss from the prior season.

It's apparently not impacting the city of Sao Paolo.

I've had moments of uncertainty.  But I've never missed work because of them.

Oh c'mon everyone has had a personal day for an existential crisis.

The NFL: We are very concerned with player safety.

Also the NFL: Go play football in a country where you can't safely walk down the street with a cell phone.

I don't know how different it is compared to cities like New Orleans, Detroit, or Baltimore. You don't want to be wandering around in the wrong places in those cities either. When I was last in New Orleans, the lady at the front desk of the hotel told me not to wear any nice watches/jewelry when walking around town.

I don't think anyone has even seen Isaiah Rodgers in the last week. It's an odd situation.

I was in Brazil 20 years ago, and...there's no comparison. I was in Rio, and you were somewhat OK in the tourist areas by the beach. But no way you could safely walk around town as a foreigner. I'd rather walk around downtown Chicago all night than 30 minutes in Sao Paulo.

I don't think it's serious because he walked into practice with a jersey on yesterday. He seemed in good spirits.

Oh there are wildfires going on there too?  How about just canceling the game and playing it in Philadelphia,  since you know, it's supposedly a home game.

With the amount of money I’m sure the game is bringing to that city there undoubtedly will be an insanely large security/police presence. Everyone will be fine, hopefully.
