Surprised we haven't hired any new scouts and/or personnel type staff. Usually these hirings take place in May.

Meh.  If he makes the team... then I'll worry about it.   I have zero expectations for anything from him.   I don't expect him to even stay healthy through TC.

You left out college jeopardy

Tee Higgins will be our WR3 by the middle of this year if not earlier. I have no time to waste worrying about whether signing John Ross was a bad move.

I thought he would was going to be what Tyreek has became. He destroyed everyone in college, fastest player ever, made people look stupid trying to tackle him if he had just the slightest bit of space

Amazing to think the guy who was a running back at Oklahoma State became this unstoppable WR and Ross is the one who can't stick on an NFL roster

It's almost unfathomable to imagine he couldn't have at least been a part time deep threat and legitimately great returner

Free option on Ross -- no reason to hate it

I just don't see the point whatsoever. There's tons of other guys who can be scratch off lottery tickets with higher upside. Signing Slant Boy would make more sense than Ross.

I guess the point was the Eagles managed to sign someone who makes me wish DeVante Parker didn't retire.

Breaking: John Ross has just announced his retirement.

Its Not Fake in funny gifs

That video isn't relevant if the issue at hand is whether Scheffler ignored police instructions, struck an officer with his vehicle, or climbed a median.  That video would have followed such events.  There is nothing visible until Scheffler turns into the parking lot -- which would have been afterward.

If the officer was struck and/or knocked to the ground, then he would have been quite aggressive after getting up, as is shown here.

Cops are normally the problem.

What relevance does Ngata's 4 star recruit status from 6 years ago have on the current depth chart?

Well, if you break down the different grades, he was pretty much 8s and 9s coming out of HS.  Including his hands. If you note, I mentioned he may have the best hands of the five "big” WRs.  Relevance would be foundation skills versus Harris, who first played football as a senior in HS and walked on at Western Kentucky, hence the green in college comment.  Routes, even cuts can be taught but hands, not so much.  Interesting comparison, those two.  Ngata much more polished in HS.  But didn’t really progress a ton at Clemson. Same issue that he had coming out of HS, speed. 4.54 forty is not slow but couple with a 4.22 SS and a 1.59 split and the issue in the NFL is separation.  Ngata has to use his size, body and hands.  In contrast, Harris has 4.43 speed, a 4.33 SS and a 3.51 3 cone but a 1.6 split.  Issue may be burst off the line. (Harris was a 4th round choice of the Rams in 2021).   In contrast, at similar size, Johnny Wilson has 4.52 speed with a 1.55 split and a 4.11 SS.  As the clip says, he has small WR feet.

yeah, but could something have happened before the video starts and ne makes the turn?  The officer could have told to stop earlier and he kept going and turned into the driveway.

I think they just wanted to replace the body.   I'm not going to get too bent out of shape.   They will bring 90 players to camp, and I think they have a specific number of each position they want to have.  Ross checks the box of replacing a failed first round pick WR with... a failed first round pick WR.

Uncoachable.  Like Reagor, believed his highlights out of college meant he had nothing to learn.  Camp body, roll of the dice player at this point.

I wouldn't care if there was proper depth at the position. For as uninspiring as Parker was there was at least a scenario where you could envision him bringing something to the table. I don't see it here with Ross and if this is the only move they make at the position, it's a bad one.

Btw, how do you know this is the "relevant” portion of the video?  It looks like the relevant interaction probably happened before this video.

Ross signing = TC body.

Sheffler vs. Police = give it a rest already.

This was so fun to watch. Some of the best passes Hurts has thrown and AJ Brown is just beyond special.

How are you guys posting twitter links?

I think Joseph Ngata takes that next step this summer and earns a post on the team as the #4 WR.

They have but are saving the announcement for the dead period.
