Nah.  He was dirty.   Biting isn't a part of the rules.

And beyond that point. Well beyond it. Heck, he violated MMA rules.

Westbrook will always be one of my most favorite offensive player for multiple reasons. He’s a prime example of a player making a number because #36 is pretty gross for a RB, especially in his time. I’m not sure why they are so keen on giving his number out compared to others though.

His contributions are a bit shadowed because McCoy came directly after him who was the better RB all things considered.

Westbrook wore 36 at Villanova. I saw him play there several times and was thrilled when the Eagles drafted him - in the third round, if memory serves.

36 is a big back number. Looked great on Jerome Bettis...terrible on Westbrook.

He wore 20 at Nova

Given the market, he deserves that. I hope he gets it and more from SF.

Correct.   That was the draft pick that year that I was most excited for.

I hate this market.   These contracts get crazier and crazier, and ticket prices, subscription services and all the other stuff just gets more and more and more expensive for the average fan.

If you want cheap tickets, there are plenty in Carolina though!

You’re right, of course. My memory does not serve.

I may be one of the few that think westbrook was better.

Westy has a higher yards/ touch as an eagle and a higher TD/ touch( excluding special teams touches) and to boot he wasnt a D like shady.

I read an article about people discontinuing cable in a telecom related web publication. Many people don't want to pay for RSNs and ESPN but have no practical choice because they're part of many cable packages. If people discontinue traditional cable and no longer are required to pay for sports channels, I wonder how that will impact professional sports leagues. A good portion of the funds that pay these nutzo contracts come from TV. ESPN and RSNs will I'm sure come up with some kind of subscription model. I could see watching the professional sports leagues becoming more expensive and total $$$$ flowing to the various professional leagues declining so caps declining along with it. Markets that count on ever increasing inflows eventually get unpleasant surprises. See the various bubbles - .dot bubble was one, subprime mortgages another.

Westbrook was our primary offensive weapon for much of his career. McCoy had Jackson, Maclin and Celek. Westbrook saved many series with his running, catching and in special teams on returns including the Miracle at the Meadowlands that most people never talk about.

Shane Haff and Johnny Page have continued their breakdown series just on Shane's channel instead of BGN. I'm not sure why BLG and Kempski haven't done the same thing unless BLG is contractually obligated not to. Which would be weird, because a non-complete clause wouldn't factor in because he wouldn't be working for any other network he'd just be doing his own thing.

Does anyone have any recommendations for getting cheaper ticket prices. Trying to see the eagles when they play the bengals this year since that’s my closest option, but tickets are outrageous. Do they get cheaper closer to the actual game or maybe even day of? Or should I still try to find some tickets from the actual bengals and not resales? They are still some available but still expensive for the type of seat you get

Apparently, just buy tickets to see the Carolina Panthers.   That's seems to be the cheapest tickets around.

I would if Carolina was playing the eagles at home, but sadly they play them in Philly this year

It's a tough call for sure. Westbrook was special. Unfortunately for him, his playing career mirrored that of Marshall Faulk, who's a HOF player so I think it's easy to overlook Westbrook. He was a poor man's Faulk. When I think of Westbrook, I think about the Eagles screen game and how dynamic he was with that play....but then again, so was Shady.

We were robbed of the full Shady experience due to Chip Kelly. He still put up really good numbers in Buffalo and had he still been in Philly, you can bet those numbers would have been better.

I wanted Campbell last year. Meanwhile, we're arguing about our 6' 220 LBs here.

Please football gods, let Jalen Carter continue rising to a superstar
