He's a converted safety who likes up over WRs on the outside as an Edge. If anything,  he's starting out as a cover LB who can rush. And his rush needs a lot of work.

I understand what you're saying... He's not lining up over NFL receivers, absolutely zero chance. 70-30 rusher-dropper, no more.

All these players being compared to Mailata is unfair. Jordan is 1 of 1.

Small amount of info on the mystery Australian guy. Almost ideal height/weight/length. Curious about his athletic testing. Much better international roster spot than Matt freaking Leo was. Never understood the point of that.

At 6'5", it seems like he could also move inside to play OG.

Couple of videos of Shaq Quaterman. He played in 63 out of 68 games for the Jags since coming in to the NFL. Never started but had a role on the team.

Leo made no sense to hang onto for that long for an on-field role. His quick transition to the coaching staff though proves they liked something about him.

Of course. But also WTF, just make him a coach and let some 20-year-old Polynesian freak of nature get a shot at OL.

Mitchell will be 27 once Zech gets cut.

Dejean in 33 is pretty sweet. 33 is an underrated number and I like doubling up his number 3 from college.

Hunt in 58 is badass.

Shipley probably changes numbers but I like him in 39 since I was getting Danny Woodhead vibes from him anyway.

Baby axe man in 54 was meant to be.

As for the rest, whatever.

I would like to see Mitchell in number 21.  79 is a good utility o-line number.  I like 63 for a center. It's not a good number for a guard.

I would like to see someone in #12. I'm not even sure what the point of them not giving it out is.

I would keep him for sure.

The 4 people with Torrey Smith jerseys are happy, along with those owning old Brian Mitchell Starter or Reebok jerseys.

Gabe Hall is my #1 "UDFA that makes the team" choice. Hands down. I would have drafted him from the 5th onward.

Agree on Hall

Yeah, people are getting way over their skis on Hunt’s potential as a coverage backer. He’s probably going to add even more weight to his frame. He’ll be 260 by the time he’s done filling out with a real NFL diet and strength and conditioning program.

One of the BGN writers quoted Pauline as saying "scouts have described Quinyon Mitchell as stiff." Seems there is not a single CB out there whom one observer hasn't described as "stiff." Make that guy white, and there's zero chance.

McMahon ... we need a backup Center, so he may make the 53.

Hennessey is the backup center.

He was a free roster spot every year so there was no downside. Same for the Aussie. We can carry 91 until we have to cut to 53.

There’s theoretical downside since he was a 28/29 year old rookie and the spot can be used on someone that has potential to develop and contribute. It’s a long shot you get anything out of the program at all but you handicap yourself when the guy is that old.

It’s not that big of a deal in the grand scheme of things. I just think keeping him around for 4 years was a bit much.

Picked this off of the media guide.  Mailata is near the top in seniority.

And he looks to be stepping into a leadership role on this team now that Kelce's gone.  Jordan is comfortable with the media.  He'll be great at it.

How many EDGEs/3-4 OLBs in the NFL and currently good cover guys? Matt Judon? Van Ginkle?

If Hunt can actually drop well, it would be a rare feat.

It wasn’t exactly free. He was taking the spot from another international player who theoretically had potential as a developmental player. They chose to go with a developmental coach instead.

I couldn’t say to be honest. There just aren’t many linebackers who can cover, period. Van Ginkel can do it, but he’s really undersized as an edge. I wonder how he’d actually hold up playing more out there.

Weird, I thought this was just drafted players but then it wouldn’t make sense to have Elliott on it.

I guess it’s players that have only been on the Eagles during any regular season? Because Slay and Bradberry are noticeably absent.

No one will ever top Ben Simmons or harden for me, but Tobias is right here with them. I hate Tobias Harris. I hated that trade when they made it and I hated the contract when they gave it to him. He’s a good player on a bad team and on a championship team he damn sure shouldn’t be making $39 mil nor be relied heavily on.

Hes an awesome 9th man.

If you ignore Parker, Uzomah, and Clark, you get pretty much the same list plus Slay, Bradberry, and Barkley.
