What's with this Darby slander.

Good starter at CB that helped win us a SB. He's still playing in the league!

How many games did he play here?  Even the super Bowl season he missed about half the games.

Slander?  Not at all.  If he was worth keeping around, despite this team struggling at the cB position, he'd have been resigned.  Instead he was allowed to leave and is now on his 5th team.

No.  I find it funny that the GM was completely disregarded in that decision according to TEW.  The last few rounds of hires it has been Howie, Lurie and Don Smolinski involved, not the owner alone.

And most teams give the GM more power without so much direct oversight by the owner.  The Eagles organizational chart is very confused and complicated.

Howie is absolutely involved, but no coach is being hired here without Lurie’s approval.

I never said otherwise.

and then consider Burrow has matched him while having one of the worst OLs while Hurts has had one of the elite OLs and all of the weapons he can ask for. And they counted a bunch of rushing TDs for Hurts while Burrow can actually throw TDs. Context is important. Burrow is better. Though, we will see what happens with that wrist injury.

All you need to do is look at Lurie’s involvement.

Lurie isn’t scouting players or conducting player interviews.

With coaches, he’s having in person meetings, not leaving it to the GM like he does with players.

Yeah because yards and points only count for full value when they are gained one way compared to another.

Using total stats is dishonest when comparing QBs. Especially QBs that have very different game styles but sure lol

It's not dishonest at all, especially when considering they have different styles.  The end result is the end result.

The tweet that was originally posted was disingenuous by definition (not surprising, considering who posted it).

Does Hurts really "get hate for no reason"?  Is he honestly scrutinized any more than Dak, Cousins, Goff, Lawrence, Lamar, etc.?  I think not.  Probably less, if we're being honest.

He does.  Look no further than posters like you for proof.

How much money do the Sixers have for free agent spending, once they've signed Maxey?

Currently, Maxey has a 13M cap hold against the 6ers cap. At that number they have somewhere around 60M to spend.

Theyll sign free agents first, and then extend his deal.

If they extend him first, then his cap number goes from 13M to whatever his max annual number is for his max deal. They wouldnt be able to add any other max players if they signed him before FA shopping.

The 6ers would have enough money to max someone like OG (who isnt really worth a max but thats what hell get), and then still have cap room to be able to trade for someone like Ingram (theyd go over the cap but they can do that since theyd be under the cap before the trade). Or sign someone like Miles Bridges for presumable less than a max deal.

OG + Ingram or Bridges, then sign Maxey to his deal.

He doesn't and correcting someone's stats isn't hating. Hurts is in the top but comparing his total stats to another QB to make up for the passing stats is just being dishonest

I'm inclined to agree, but I understand the viewpoint that others have when they say his running ability has value.

My position is Hurts' running ability is a much more rapidly declining asset than other QBs with more refined passing ability.  History says as much.

Frickin’ Berman.  The Eagles were drafting #15 that year before trading up to #12 to draft Fletcher Cox, and the Colts released Peyton Manning on March 7.  They fired Polian and Jim Caldwell right after the season.

Imagine if the eagles pulled it off and gave all those picks up for him to just retire early

He would have had an OL here... unlike there.

Lane is likely not here if you make that trade with the picks they were going to give up. It is still better than colts but still not as good it had been during that stretch
