He actually did well.

About to witness The Philly Special again. It never gets old. 🥲

It’s every ESP take. Hints of truth with gross exaggeration.

At least they know how to lower expectations there before the season even starts. We have to wait until that rookie you were waiting for most, disappears on IR. My grumpy morning take.

Let’s say I gave all 32 teams a pool of players where they could only pick 1:

Jamhyr Gibbs

Chris Olave

Sam LaPorta

Jalen Carter

Nico Collins

32 teams are picking Jalen Carter

No Jalen Carter and 19 of the 25 being on the offensive side of the ball discredits this list

As good as the 6 points was for me the Patriots players wondering What Just Happened? :-)

There’s a lot wrong about that list but i don’t think Jalen Carter being not included is one of them.

It’s not based off potential or going forward as a prospect. Carter had one half of a good season in his career to date and not enough production.

Brock Purdy being that high up and Hurts nowhere on the list is a bigger issue imo.

Hurts has been better than Lawrence who’s on the list.

But no Jalen Carter is a joke in my opinion.  They have a WR that ranked 17th yards, and tied for 35th in TDs among all WRs on the list.  I’m pretty sure Jalen Carter ranked better in his DT position class than this WR did in his.

Jordan Love playing 1/2 a good season and being #12 overall

Is anyone here a contractor or know anything about that kind of work?

It’s definitely more geared to "flashy” or fantasy type production.

On a related note, ESPN put Eagles at 29th in under 25 talent with only mentioning Jalen Carter. I would have to assume they didn’t list Smith or Hurts at all because they will both be 26 at some point this year.

Yeah, Hurts will be 26 literally in one month, so it’s kind of silly to put him on these kind of lists.

And it’s fine if it’s more of a fantasy football type of list, but if it is, they should say so. And if it is, why would there be individual defensive players on the list at all?

A better list for 25 and under would be just to list the top 2-3 players in each position group.  They don’t even have a DT on the list at all.

Hurts turns 26 before the season starts.   I don't think he qualifies for this season.

That list looks drastically different if it was actually players under 25 but it's including a bunch of players that are 25

I have hired a few.

Will Anderson was the Rookie defensive POY.  I don't think he had a significantly better season.  He had 2 more TFLs, one more sack in about 70 more snaps.  He should be in over LaPorta.

LaPorta had a very good year when you consider his position. TE’s notoriously start slow and he put up a better year compared to Travis Kelces first 3 years and had a better rookie year than Gronk.

I think the hardest part in all this is how much weight you put into positional value.

Yeah, I don’t have a problem with La Porta being on this list… He’s a young stud player.

I guess I just have a problem with the integrity of the list overall and the lack of football logic that went into making it.  It’s obviously not purely fantasy football list, because it does include a few defensive players.  The person who made this list believes that 13 of the top 25 players that are 25 years or under play either QB or WR.  I think it’s insane to believe that.
