LaPorta had a very good year when you consider his position. TE’s notoriously start slow and he put up a better year compared to Travis Kelces first 3 years and had a better rookie year than Gronk.

I think the hardest part in all this is how much weight you put into positional value.

His yards per reception were just over 10 at 10.3.  His yards per target was 7.4.  Those are historically middling numbers.  His production was the result of being the number 2 receiving option.  He was targeted 120 times.  I am guessing when Jameson plays a full season his numbers will go way down.  That's why when you are doing a list based on potential, his name should have been left off of it.

Is anyone here a contractor or know anything about that kind of work?

I know that kind of work is expensive.

Plus, you can't do it yourself.  Someone else has to come in and do it.

It's best to get someone that's licensed to do that kind of work.

Interesting point was brought up today on the PHLY pod. Phillies should have a home game every July 4th like the Cowboys and Lions always play home on Thanksgiving. It just makes too much sense.

Have him on my fantasy team.  Baller.

Great signing.  Almost definitely took less to sign with the Sixers with what he was rumored to be looking for and what the Sixers would be able to pay him.

For the last 2 years I have called Morey a fraud.

I have to say this offseason was absolutely perfect by him. I take it back. Hes finally done very well.

He's finally freed himself from his obsession with Hardin.

Was looking for $20M per year and Soxers got him for $8 per.

Think I read that he died with 2-3 former teammates too. Tragic.

Nah.

Dallas should simply not get a home Thursday game every year.

And why should they not?    Because its Dallas and we hate Dallas?   :nonono:

Is there some competitive advantage gained by Dallas because of it?    Absolutely nothing would indicate that, especially when considering that Dallas and Detroit (the other team that always gets a home game for Thanksgiving) have horrific playoff records over the last quarter century.   There's no tangible benefit for them.

It seems it's just some sour grapes from some fans that want to see things change for the sake of change.   There's nothing wrong with having some traditions that are sustained into the future with no need to call to remove it.   Now that there's a 3rd game available on Thanksgiving night, every team gets a shot at hosting a Thanksgiving game every so often.   Frankly, I don't see the game as being a benefit at all.  And as a fan, I prefer that the Eagles do NOT play on Thanksgiving.  I went to the Eagles' Thanksgiving game back in 2008 when they had the game against the Cardinals.  Frankly, it was highly disruptive to our regular Thanksgiving traditions as a family.   Those fan bases... Detroit (much longer historically) and Dallas have built their family traditions around that game.  Why change it just for the sake of changing it?

The biggest schedule advantage in the NFL is a home Thursday game, as you avoid the road Thursday game.

Except that they have a Thursday game in addition to that.

And, I'd add that the advantage you point to doesn't seem to have any measurable impact on playoff success.  None whatsoever.
