Who the F is going to play?  When the game was after the Super Bowl, the Super Bowl players were the only ones that didn't play.  When they moved it to before the Super Bowl, the players that played in the championship games bowed out.  Even with it being flag football.... you know what, I haven't watched it in years since they moved it to before the Super Bowl so I have no idea who's participating in flag football.  All I know is a mid season pro bowl you'll have Justin Fields throwing to Quez Watkins 

Some of it is stupid.   Some of it is not.   18 games requires 2 bye weeks... (one of which needs to be sandwiched around each team's TNF appearance).   And having the Super Bowl land on President's Day weekend seems to be the way things are heading.  

BUT... the Pro Bowl needs to just go away.   They can put it after the Super Bowl in the first week of March... but that's roughly the same time that the new league year starts.  Frankly, I think the new league year start needs to be moved back a couple weeks, and all coaching staff hires need to wait until after the Super Bowl concludes, because the teams in the Super Bowl are always screwed in the coaching carousel.     They could also put the draft BEFORE free agency and I think it would actually work out much better for everyone.  Teams that miss on targets in the draft might be MORE willing to pony up big money to land a veteran at specific positions, and if the draft is out of the way, teams wouldn't have the same level of patience as they currently have after the initial flurry of activity.

Applaud the effort.    But there is no debate about the FACT that he traveled.   That's a travel in every level of basketball, including the NBA.   The NBA merely chooses not to enforce traveling.

They will never go back to 16.  The season will only ever expand, never contract.   Same with the playoff field.   Always expands, never contracts.   Over expansion of teams?   Only expand, never contracts.

The 2 bye weeks idea is a good one, but not to play the Pro Bowl. I'd keep it at 17 games per team, with 16 international games per year for the whole league, where every team gets a bye week afterward. This way, all calendars are even with 8 home games, 8 away games and 1 international game. The league makes more money expanding the season one week and everyone gets one week to rest after a long trip.

I get it. Just saying, guys here were debating it. I don't care to debate that, he's a rookie and learning and showed good effort in all the highlights, not just focusing on the one.

That sounds good on paper, but I wonder how difficult that would be for the schedule makers.  Some teams share stadiums, and there are other factors to consider as well

In the NHL, if you miss the all-star game you're immediately suspended in the next game.

If you do that in the NFL, everyone shows up.

Who knew? Everyone that actually saw him play and aren't distracted by marketing and nail painting gimmicks. Kid is a dog. The nail painting seems to be triggering for a lot of folks. Rock stars and metal heads have been doing it for eternity. To each their own.

Not a travel.  Again he didn't truly have possession until he was on his back.

It wasn't a 'bad play'.  It was a travel, after a great hustle to get on the ball.  But, in the NBA, that isn't called... so he gets an assist.
