I've referred plenty of people to podiatrists before. I would absolutely never do that for anyone where ankle surgery is a probable outcome. I'm sure there are some who can do it but the difference in expertise on average isn't remotely close.

Here's something I think about often.  We have these doctors, who suffered and grinded out their residency, and these are some of the brightest and smartest people in the world (I hope).  Why would they choose feet?  They're smart enough that they can probably choose a different part of the body to work with or a different path of study altogether, but your example alone almost makes me dry heave while sitting here.  At some point during this long journey, these doctors look in the mirror and say, "I'm gonna go with my greatest passion.........disgusting, smelly, sweaty......feet."  Does this doctor go home to his family and say, "Work was great today honey!  I knocked out some dude's hammer toes, cut his toenails, sanded down a bunion, and gave him a foot massage.  Would you pass the mashed potatoes please?"  And don't get me started on proctologists.  Some real sickos they must be (Unfortunately I'll find out shortly).

The podiatrist who operated, first on my shattered #5 metatarsal and then several years later on my tri-mal ankle fracture was amazing.  Not just a terrific doctor but also a great human being.  I will be forever grateful for both his work and his caring.  He also had a practice in the Big Bear / Arrowhead area of CA's San Bernardino Mountains.  That means that he cared for a whole lot of people who messed up their feet/ankles skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, etc.  Obviously every doctor is a distinct individual.  I don't think he was the norm.  But it's not just bunions and hammer toes.

The Olympics to some of these guys means almost as much as a championship. I'm sure they would take a championship over a gold medal but, it still means a lot to some of them.

I think it means MORE to some of them, especially those born abroad.    I could see Kahwi sticking around, even though he backed out.  He's got two championships in the NBA... and Paul George just defected to the 76ers.  Not much chance of the Clippers winning a Championship in the NBA this upcoming season.

Early in my career, a lawyer I worked with regularly commented during a break in taking a doctor’s deposition looked at me a said 50% of the doctors out there graduated in the bottom half of their class.  Sounds like she was in the top half.

What do you call the guy who graduates last in his class at medical school?

Spoiler

"Doctor"

Was he wrong though?   A QB worth their salt will absolutely own up to bad throws.  One that won't shouldn't be on the team.

Do you go to a podiatrist or proctologist to get a foot removed from your ass?

Do you go to a podiatrist or dentist to have a foot removed from your mouth?

I mean bottom half of the class is probably good for a proctologist.

I do have to say, we have had some excellent foot discussions in here the past few days.  I hope we can continue this level of quality of feet talk well into the season.

And don't dismiss the conversation about proctology...I hear that career is always looking up.

Not sure if people still care about Justin Simmons at this point in the offseason, but the Titans were one of the teams interested in him. If you still want the Eagles to sign Simmons, this probably takes a team off the board.

It is lacking stats on feet, so my apologies there.

Then you go have a podiatrist do your knee replacement and let me know how it works out.

There's some podiatrists that I would trust more than some orthopedists to do a TKR that's for sure.

We can also discuss manicures if that's more your thing.

On OverTheCap, it has Josh sweat as a 16m$ cap hit next season. However, if we extend him, we’ll save 39m$. How in the hell does that work

Where do you see that?  The $39 million that is.

What's the next domino for the 76ers?  I think I prefer Jae Crowder over Marcus Morris if we're not trading for a PF.

Not much difference there,  2 players that can hit the 3 and play tough I don't think there is enough difference to really worry about. Basically the same measurables
