There are no reports of Carson Strong losing weight in retirement. I wouldn't rule him out just yet.

Kenny is still doing those elastic stretching exercises with his hands.  I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s a size 10.5 or so pretty soon

Hurts had one great year.  He has plenty to prove.  And if he doesn't button some things up this year, there will be a tidal wave of doubt and concern.

To be fair...and I probably sound like a broken record with this...every QB in the NFL not named Patrick Mahomes has a lot to prove too.  Mahomes is the only QB in the NFL who has proven to be dominant enough to win a SB while on a monster deal.  Until proven otherwise, everyone else...from Burrow, to Allen, to Hurts...isn't good enough.

The NFL has a severe lack of parity right now with a poor competitive balance.

Hurts has been starting for 3 years and has had 1 good year.  He does have much to prove.

If he doesn't play well and the loaded offense struggles then Nick and possibly KM will be gone.  Then they have to start all over with another new HC and OC.

Even if Hurts struggles he isn't going anywhere.

Yup.  Hurts proved in 2022 he CAN do it; then defenses adjust and try to shut down what you do best.  Hurts still has to prove that he’s capable of a median level of play that’s in the top 6-8 QBs in the NFL.  He fell far short of that last season

Not only that but as each year passes his running/scrambling is going to be less and less effective.  QBs that have the ability to run typically lose that skill as their career goes on.  He will have to rely more on his arm and passing when he gets into his later years.  Especially if he will keep getting these nagging injuries and being banged up all the time.

If he doesn't light it up this year with all that talent on offense, qb1 should be gone as well

CHI, MIN, and NYG will all be worse than those predictions.  Overall I think most are fairly close, though.

It's a bit of a boomer move to blame the Eagles season on short practices.  The play design & play calling was bad. Practicing bad plays longer doesn't change them.  I suspect the Eagles will keep a similar schedule with a small increase as they seem to go to the extreme end of short practices last year.

Not at all blaming on short practices.  Just facing the reality that we have two new coordinators coming in and one of them has openly expressed the desire for longer training camp practices.

Such bizarre revisionist history in the echo chamber that is the blog.  Hurts was the leading MVP candidate deep into the NFL season last year until the entire team fell apart.

Agreed.  Stacked.

That’s a rounded cut, though not a sharp cut.  Phases.  I am hopeful they see enough progress to take him off PUP real close to the start of camp so he can participate in much needed drills and installations.   Really like the dedication he showed at OTAs, trying to mirror, as part of his rehab, part of what the DBs were doing on the field and participating in those.  Kind of taking a page from Rodgers approach as he did DB drills during his year off.   McPhearson should be paying attention to that.

Yea, definitely not a sharp cut at all and that's a really big step to take with ACL recovery but speed looks good.

So Tom Brady is the spokesperson for Hertz.

There wasn't a more qualified, active QB for that role?

I was hoping they’d use Fred Goldman in a commercial where he’s racing to get to O.J.‘s funeral on time.

It writes itself.

He won't be gone but people will start looking at him as a 1 year wonder and questioning him going forward.

Nick will be gone first before Hurts.

Let's all congratulate Hurts on his half season MVP last year.  👏👏👏 well done.

I get it but it misses the mark. He wouldnt even take shots. Buddy Hield is probably more apt for the joke.

Word coming out is that an attendee in the crowd was killed.  Let's not make light of this.
