Eagles go to the Super Bowl but Saquon is injured.  Kelce is signed to play full back.

Jags with a glorious throwback

These teams that have gone to basically practice uniforms need to switch back to their striped roots. How they think this looks better is beyond me.

I'm fairly cynical in that I think the practice uniform approach was not about fashion but about increasing the profit margin on jersey sales (cheaper product, same price).

The two-tone helmet was the proper look; never should have done away with it, although the blue eyes, nose and tongue never made any sense.

He's losing weight to be the ideal FB weight.  Likely will be down to 240 lb or so by the end of the season.

Apparently he's already lost at least 20 lbs, and is looking to drop at least another 20.

The Jags aren't old enough to have "throwback" uniforms.

He'll need a couple of weeks WingBowl training and he'll be fine.

It's one of their colors... so they wanted it represented on the helmet.   A lot about current unis make little sense.

Then again, some older uniforms are equally as baffling.

Ugh…I’m pretty sure I was at that game (bottom photo).  At least it’s the same uniform that the Packers played in when they kicked the Eagles asses at Lambeau under Chip’s reign.  Terrible loss and we froze our asses off.

Appoint Kelce to Stoutland's OL staff.  He knows the system well and can develop the pipeline of OL men.

I really hope it was a McCarthy design.

I hope Moore, but I don't know the play.

No, he couldn't.   He's losing weight.   He's not coming back.

Before he retired I mean or just after he did and they signed SB.

Probably wants to play one year at LB like he started off at Cincinnati.

there are always 7 men on the line of scrimmage,  they could be 150 pounds or 350 pounds but they're lined up on the LOS or it's a penalty.

My ideas of running backs playing Center don't look anything like that. He didn't do anything on that play to use his running back attributes,  he was just a Center who was too small to block.  It's not like he snapped and ran out to block a LB or DB.

Why are Guards called Guards?  Who are they guarding?  Why are they guarding them?

Guards guarded Centers.  Centers did more difficult and complex snapping.  They looked between their legs.  They snapped to a number of different players,  typically the Tailback and Fullback.  In the NFL there is a tremendous amount of innovation that hasn't been done,  or was done a long time ago, and forgotten.   The center doesn't even need to be facing forward.  Could be facing sideways, don't have to look between your legs.

He did.  Teams knew the tendencies, played up on it and it was something the coaches should have been a lot harder on Hurts for.doing  Be interesting to see if Moore and Doug Nussmeier can break that tendency.

I remember Sirianni saying that the Eagles offense was going to run through A.J., DeVonta and Goedert. It's not really a surprise that they got the lions' share of the attempts. It seems to me that Jeffrey & Howie are determined to fill the sky with footballs even though the team has proven that a balanced offense or even a little run heavy has produced better results.

Crazy impressive Howie can fit the Eagles offense in at $118.8M when you look at the AAV of the contracts:

Hurts -- $51M

Barkley -- $12.5M

AJ Brown -- $32M

DeVonta Smith -- $25M

Goedert -- $14.25M

Lane -- $20M

Dickerson -- $21M

Mailata -- $22M

Jurgens -- $1.7M

Steen -- $1.4M

Campbell -- $1.3M
