If Sirianni bombs this year, I'm guessing next year it'll be Ben Johnson, Bobby Slowik, or Belichick.

I do think the Belichick chances might have run its course though. Each year he gets older, he'll be less attractive to Lurie as a candidate because he has less and less staying power. Dude might only coach a couple more years.

I'm sure Belichick would like to replace Don Shula in the record books. He needs 17 more wins. Beyond that and with Belichick being 72, I doubt he coaches longer than 2 more years. I'm not sure what owner is going to go for that.

Have the Eagles ever let a HC go into a lame duck season? There were rumors of a Sirianni extension after the Hurts extension was done but I can't imagine that's on the table now. It doesn't feel like an Eagles thing to do to let him coach on the last year of his contract without some sort of new deal in place.

I can’t remember the last time they let a coach be the HC with his contract expiring at the end of the year. I know with Doug there was the report at the beginning of 2020 that he wouldn’t mind being fired and was fed up with some stuff going on behind the scenes so there was a belief that things weren’t great behind the scenes

still think sirianni has to make the playoffs and perform well to keep his job. If he misses or gets annihilated in their first playoff game i think he’s gone

Doesn't Nick have another year after this year? I just assumed he signed the standard 5-year coaching contract. If he's signed through 2025, they will definitely wait until after the season to make their final decision. If this is his last year, I can see them waiting until at least mid-season.

He is under contract through 2025 -- signed a 5 year deal. After this season, he needs to be extended or fired. I think if he makes the division round or better, he gets extended. Miss the playoffs - fired. Lose in wildcard round - depends on how it looks.

Saints' Ryan Ramczyk out for the year

Too bad we are out of future picks from them.

We had a good run. Trevor Penning for Jalen Carter and Cooper DeJean.

He won double-digit games as a HC with Matt Cassel and Mac Jones as his QBs.

I am sorry but that was Tom Brady.

She has very good sources on the team.  She broke the AJ trade because she talks to Howie.  It would not surprise me if that is where she is getting some of this information.

Remember year 1 Sirianni used to yell at Hurts if he did something stupid?  And Hurts was okay with that.  He wanted to be coached hard.  Ever since that year whenever Hurts throws a bad pick or fumbles or makes a bad decision you don't get that.

I don't think Sirianni or any of the coaches love the urgency to run from Hurts.  Too often he's quick to take off when there were guys open he could have dumped off to.  Instead he doesn't see them and takes off running.

It's fine for Hurts to use his legs at times but he's got to start playing from the pocket alot more.

Hurts went from coachable, hard working leader, to selfish me first stat compiler with strained relationship with HC.

Hes a cancer. Get him outta here.

Bill is only going to go to a team that has a QB in place and ready to win now.  I don't know if that situation will exist after this year but if it does I think someone will hire him.

He's probably going to be on TV quite a bit this year talking football.  People will see how smart he is and give him an opportunity.

Belicheck has a lot of success in NFL.  The team's recent history on hiring HC has favored the up and coming coaches, which does not describe Belicheck.

Another factor is that BB's successes have tightly tied to QB Brady.  Much like AR and Mahommes.  One more variable for the FO to consider.

Or.....

Mekhi Becton and our 2026 4th for their 2025 2nd and 2026 3rd

We are not signing Carson Strong.

I thought the Eagles would go this route for a backup veteran S heading into camp. But another S needy team seems to be off the board for Justin Simmons.

Hurts had one of the longest times to throw in the NFL last season.  He wasn't just taking off and running after a read.  I would bet that most of his rushing attempts last season were designed runs.  I think he's reluctant to come off of his first read and will try to buy time in the pocket with his legs rather than throwing a checkdown but that's not the same as taking off too early.

So your statement here is that the head coach, OC and assistant coaches don't want Hurts to run, but he runs anyway? And the coaches don't do anything about it? Wow, they are terrible coaches with no power then.

I do agree Hurts should run less and protect his body, but if he's not doing what the coaches want then the coaches have to...I don't know...coach him.

Multiple players have pointed to offensive coaching as a problem last year, and are saying positive things already about the changes with Moore. So let's see how this plays out.

I've mostly stayed away for a while.  Circular arguments because there's nothing new to talk about. Eager to see it actually play out on the field

What's a check down? I don't think the Eagles used on last season.

They ran a lot of slow developing routes, Sirianni is a bit in love with the big play, I think Moore is more willing to dink and dunk and get receivers open quickly.

lol…there are shticks, and then there are ridiculous takes.  I think you are in danger of becoming another form of RR…just in a different way.  But you’re better than that…or I thought.

There are ways to be critical and make sense along the way…and then there are other ways too I suppose

Loves himself some rushing tds. Doesn't want the rb's getting any work near the goal line. Everyone knows he can't throw it down there

I wonder when the Eagles sign either Simmons or Ogbah
