Absolutely… One could even argue that sometimes it’s beneficial. I think Tom Brady and Belichick needed each other to get where they ultimately got.  I could not care less about this ‘news’ either. It’s media fodder for the off-season.

And no, I am not comparing Sirianni to the Hoodie, or Hurts to Brady (some people need disclaimers, so there it is).  It’s just obvious that a head coach and a quarterback do not have to be friends

Pretty sure he will be in front of Donald and Heyward had a horrible year.

Donald probably made the list but they took him out when he retired. This thing is voted on by players midway through last season. The vets are always going to get a ton of votes based on their name.

Yep. Was gonna say.

The last 2 seasons from the Eagles, right there

The Eagles and their social media team sure hate us as fans don't they?

It's mainly you in particular that they hate

There were some here that didn't think Reddick wanted a new contract or works hold out and be unhappy if the Eagles kept him.

Those people were always wrong.

No matter what happens, good process by Howie. It was pay a 30 year old speed-rushing EDGE 25+M or trade him.

Carter isn’t making it this year. Last year was Jones, Donald, Lawrence, Williams, Allen, Heyward, Simmons,  Buckner and Wilkins. Carter isn’t getting put in front of any of those guys.

He’s ahead of Donald now.

First, it’s training camp. He’s going to show up at some point because he’s not gonna sit out all year. If he does that’s gonna hurt his value next off-season when he goes to get a contract. So he has to play and he has to play well to get the type of money he wants.

Second, the most logical conclusion has always been to this to do what the Cardinals did with Buddha Baker. Guarantee more of salary this year and give him a slight increase to make him happy. And it incentivizes him to still go out there and play at the highest level because he needs another contract. That’s always been the solution that made the most sense for whatever team had him. teams weren’t gonna give him new contract with how his season ended for him last year.

third, this doesn’t help the Eagles value of that trade. It actually hurts it. he needs to play, know the defense and play at a level where he gets enough snaps for you to maximize that trade. The fact that the Jets blundered this when they made that trade they either should’ve given him an extension which was not gonna happen. Or done what the Cardinals did with Buddha Baker to smooth it over with more money in his pocket so he’d be content with more money, show up and incentivized to go out there and bust his ass.

Eagles could use another pass rusher. A 6th round pick for Reddick?

Ngakoue is about the only decent edge left

Fangio knows Ogbah, if it doesn't want him there's probably a reason. I'd be interested in Ngakoue though.

Not really, because they still won't risk those guys playing running back they probably all got shot down.

Running DT's, NT's, and franchise 6'9, 380 lb LT's are best.  Nothing like putting those guys in danger only to get swiped at the knees for gaining a yard!

So the jets were willing to do what I’ve said with the buddha baker contract and the cardinals if report is accurate. This comes down to Reddick and his agent should have taken what the jets offered (if accurate also the jets leaking something to save face) of the non-guaranteed and making it into guaranteed money for this year and asked for a slight increase to show up. Because if the report is right he would’ve gotten that from the Jets. But if he’s gonna tell him he’s gonna do it and then all of a sudden just go against it then he’s being poorly advised and is also just not smart. Not only hurts him negotiating now but also down the road teams won’t trust him/his representation when they go to negotiate forward

essentially what I said at the beginning of the off-season is what teams were trying to do. convert the non-guaranteed this year to guaranteed money and give him some easy incentives to make him more money/increase his salary for this year. He performs well early in the season or during the season you give him that extension. His representation and Reddick knew the eagles nor any team was going to give him 25-28 mil per year with how his season ended last year. His best bet was always get more guarantee, easy incentives to hit and slight boost to his pay this year and play well in 2024 so got an extension prior to the end of the year or hit FA and cash out.

This has the making of a player that will probably fizzle out and not get his pay day at the end
