And we're told the mental reps are more important than being on the field!

Sure, but I don't buy it.  They are absolutely important but they don't build any muscle memory.

Takes a real man to feel comfortable carrying a purse.  :flex:

Howie just agreed with you.

Coop missing time sucks, but at least it's now and not in the thick of the season...I guess?

Maddox is next. He might get hurt putting his pads on

Rough for Evan Neal

He played himself out of the position. Ponderous. He ran a 5.37 40 at 337 lbs. By way of comparison, Mekhi Becton ran a 5.11 at 364 lbs.

You're too good to me.

And so are you.

As @just relax says, start the best five. Eluemunor has way more starts at RT than at G, by far.  The assumption with the signing was he would move back inside, and he may, if the competition inspires Neal to play to his draft status rather than as a turnstile.

Are the Eagles doing anything different in giving Becton some reps at G and signing Scharping, Kinnard and drafting Keegan?  They are both restocking at backup RT and back up G but also pushing and providing insurance should Steen falter in his move to RG.  Frankly, I think Steen survives the challenge but if Becton plays to his potential, Steen’s play may not be enough to win the position.  At which point, he becomes the back up G/RT.

He's also hurt which is why the move was made

If only he listened to McCains cuticle cutting tips

Day 1 starter notes…

- Tyler Steen at RG
- Mekhi Becton at LG with Dickerson absent
- Zack Baun and Devin White at LB
- Isaiah Rodgers at CB opposite Darius Slay
- Avonte Maddox at slot
- Paris Canpbell at WR3

Kelee Ringo and Quinyon Mitchell are the second team outside CBs.

James Bradberry is at safety next to Tristin McCollum.

Former Eagles safety Anthony Harris is working with the Eagles staff this summer. He spent parts of two seasons with the team. Once led NFL in INTs, was a respected player in the league.

D. White and Nakobe are 1st team LBs in 7-on-7 drills

First team defense in 7 on 7 has Darius Slay and Kelee Ringo on the outside at CB and Devin White and Nakobe Dean at LB.

Jalen Hurts with multiple completions to Parris Campbell already

IMHO, the Campbell signing could be huge if he can stay healthy.

That’s a popular take for us every year though.  And every year, they have some bad vibes in the offseason, get hot in the early/middle part of the season, get hyped as an elite team, fizzle out late, finish with a good record, and wash out of the playoffs early.

I don’t see them breaking from that mold any time soon.

I agree it’s a take that is often repeated here, but I disagree with the bolded.  Teams have windows and cycles.  They had a cycle when they were 8-8 for years too.  Now they’ve had three straight 12 win seasons.  Time for that window to end I think.  And I think the Cowboys FO also believes change is needed.

Their roster is far too top heavy and they lost a lot of starters from last season.  Eagles lost a lot of starters the year before and we tried to downplay it…didn’t turn out so good.

I’d be shocked if they were a playoff team this season

Nakobe Dean now with Zack Baun the first team LBs in second set of 11 on 11.

Would you say it's got the potential to be "M'm! M'm! Good!"?!
