That's a shame.

Lets also remember this was one of the few dudes who actually held out an entire year.  Yes, different circumstances, but worth noting.

Speaking of guys holding out for the year...Don't you wonder if Al Harris (the first one) and Todd Bell feel absolutely silly for holding out and missing the entirety of the Bears '85 season? I'm guessing they don't even get invited to reunions at this point.

Ties' is nebulous.  Could mean friends, could mean associates, could mean they were in the same place at the same time. At best the piece was irresponsible.

Hell, I have "ties" to a skinhead who helped his cousins kill their parents and other son because I had study period with him once in 10th grade.

Maybe he can get a hands transplant

I knew a guy who had his face transplanted on someone. Major news story about seven or eight years ago. My "friend" (I knew him well enough to nod hello to and maybe exchange a few sentences to here and there when our paths crossed) died in his twenties. His face dimensions proved to be a perfect match to some dude who had tried to kill himself (blew his face off) and needed a transplant.

Really weird story.

Looks good.  Better than their normal helmets.

I’m not talking about his rushing yards… I already said I agreed with the ‘under’ on that total.  My point was that he would get the over on receiving.

I look at it this way… Swift averaged 5 receiving targets per game in Detroit in his 40 games there.  He averaged about 7.5 yards per reception in those games (30 yards per game).  Then he came here and averaged a measly 3 targets and 13 receiving yards per game.  Only one receiving TD for the season.

I really don’t see a point in changing offensive coordinators, letting Swift go, and signing a guy viewed as a premium RB for more money if that philosophy was going to stay the same.  If they do not have a desire to change those numbers, then why invest what they did?

I think they intend to target Barkley in the passing game quite often.  That’s my point.

Actually think a combination of Hurts himself, Steichen (very run oriented), Patullo, Johnson (gone) and Nick, partially relying on Hurts running ability as an alternate outlet when the read(s) weren’t open, led to a lack of RB outlet routes.   Outlet and RB pass designs are a component of Moore’s offense so it only seems likely that he sees more targets than Swift but Hurts legs will be a factor and that lessens my expectations for his receptions from yours.

Am I the only one who thinks the media is out of its mind with the idea that Dak is going to get $60 million plus? He was on a team with 8 other all-pros last year -- 3 offensive lineman, a wide receiver, pass rusher, corner, kicker and punter. And he still lost in the wild card round. Is a GM gonna pay him 5 years, $300mm for his age 32-36 years when he couldn't win with that roster? How could he play on a more loaded team?

Guys kill Hurts for being carried by the 2022 roster to the Super Bowl. He had 5 all-pros other than him (AJ, Kelce, Lane, Haason and JB). But Dak is going to break the bank?

Becton getting that sick is something to watch, either he has a bug (fine) or he reported to camp out of shape (not fine).

not necessarily. You can be in shape, and then come in to a different climate and still struggle to exercise in that atmosphere. He may not have dealt with that type of humidity recently and it got the better of him.

I re-read some of last year's practice reports and, as compared to this year's, Hurts is throwing about twice as many dumpoffs to running backs and running way less. I actually think he is seeing the light that 10 runs a game isn't sustainable, and it is better to let a RB take a hit for a three-yard gain than him.

Ideally, we will see Hurts throw 50 more passes and run 50 times less this season.

I realize you're division rivals but he's probably the only QB right now that could actually break records on your team just because he feels like it
