Because he was hurt?

He has the beard, he's definitely making a trade

Sure, it was all your idea James. Blink twice if you're being held against your will.

Can't be done. QB market is what it is.

I've got a run first offense with multiple running QBs.  That'll get you to the playoffs, then any given Sunday.    2 cheap QBs who can run, throw, catch and block on the field at the same time.  3, 4.

The NFL is extremely generic and it wouldn't be difficult to win games with 11 great athletes,  and a few of those great athletes can throw ok, or at least pitch accurately.   Let other teams zig in the direction of $30 Million a year WRs and $60 Million QBs,  I'll zag to the best athletes available with some versatility, some throwing ability,  running QBs who are great at running.  More Philly specials.  Mailata, Davis and Carter all want to play some on offense.  Etc, I've typed this stuff many times before.

I've heard a few people say he's been disappointing so far.

At least he has TikTok as a fallback

Never hearing anything good about him.  Wonder if he even makes the team at this point, especially if the Eagles make a trade for a WR.

Gets "injured" goes on IR?

Zach Baun had Demario Davis and Pete Warner in front of him. The other backup (Kaden Ellis) got a good contract from the Falcons. Baun wasn't blocked by Nick Morrow.

That's ok.  Nick Morrow was blocked by everyone.

Malik Washington was my guy, they passed on him.

Doesn't sound like being here the whole year is his ideal scenario and understandably.

I’m watching Olympic Men’s Rugby and have no idea what’s going on but I saw harder hits in the last 5 mins than I have all of last season

Nah, he knows exactly what the situation is as does everyone else.  Just a matter of time before he's gone.

I'm sure Howie is on the phone with Minnesota as we speak.  They need CB help badly.

ESP is RTK, RTK is ESP.

It all makes sense now.

Kempski went into it on the Philly special podcast. I think he said was the worst player he saw but also he was dealing with some sort of injury prior

Those 2 passes and catches from smitty were awesome.

He's literally started only 19 games in his career.  19.   This is the issue with drafting a guy high and then sitting him for years.   He's not due a new contract for 2 years... but he holds out, and gets it because the Packers figure the price for QBs will only rise over the next two years to even crazier levels.

The market will reset on QBs at some point when teams come to realize that this much of the cap dedicated to one position leaves the rest of the roster way too vulnerable.    I just don't know when it will happen though.

I said after the Packers lost to Tampa Bay and then again after 2021 when they lost to SF at home in the playoffs that they should’ve traded Aaron Rodgers then. Maximize whatever value he had left.  he was gonna be a pain in the ass and you were eventually going to have to rip that Band-Aid off. you needed to find out whether or not Jordan Love was legitimate and the future of your franchise.

I really liked Jordan Love in that draft. Frankly, there’s a reason why the Eagles liked him a lot in that draft and it got leaked out that they were really in on him. I think he’s legitimate but the fact is you’re basing it on 1 full season when you could’ve had more data to make that decision. And should’ve as you likely cost yourself more assets and dealt with diva Rodgers for longer than you should’ve.

The funny thing about Ainias Smith is he is one of the players one of the scouts/execs pounded the table for during Howie's "Ok, guys, sell me on a player before day 3" meeting. It was in one of the clips the Eagles put out. I don't remember who it was that stood on a table for the guy, but if he turns out to be not an NFL player, maybe don't listen to that guy anymore.

Perhaps, but I think we both can agree it's the less likely of the two that the Saints who drafted this guy and studied this guy for years just happened to misuse him and the Eagles are the team who has figured out some unlocked hidden potential on a player that wasn't really coveted in free agency. If I were to bet everything on what this means, it's that Dean just hasn't shown anything worth being favored for first team reps, and Dean finally showing something was always the ideal outcome.

Perhaps.
