With the sudden depth at CB, they 100% have some trade chips but at the same time, I hope they are looking past this year. Slay might be playing his last year here. Maddox isn't a lock but if he makes the team, it's on a 1-year deal. Rodgers is on a 1-year deal.

CB signed through 2025- Ringo, Ricks, Dejean, Mitchell.

If they trade Ricks, they probably extend Rodgers for at least 2 years.

It's going to be interesting to see how it all plays out.

What a funny "problem” to have as an Eagles fan. Feels weird.

DE's are getting hammered. That's like the 4th one already lost for the season around the league.

Ngakoue will have a job very soon

DJ Moore and the Bears reached agreement on a four-year, $110 million extension that includes $82.6M guaranteed. The deal was negotiated by Drew Rosenhaus, Jason Rosenhaus and Robert Bailey.

DeVonta should fire his agent, dude signed the worst extension in the league.

I don't like a ton of this list (ex: Tank Dell is clearly #1), but looking at the list holistically most teams don't have very good WR3s.

We have some guys that could get value

25 mil a year is the worst extension in the league? At the time he signed it he was the 4th highest paid wr in the league. He's now the 9th highest paid wr in the league. That's bad? Some of yall are too funny

Given our luck at the position, I’d keep as much talent on the roster there as possible.

Old news. They already signed someone to replace him.

Most of these players suck.  I think it’s important to have a quality WR3…not just for depth but for having an arsenal of options to keep the D on their heels.  Many of the historically great passing offenses have had WR3s that need to be accounted for.

Even if Campbell is starting out low on the list, this shows that most other teams don’t have much there either.

I don’t have a big problem with having a mediocre third receiver when your top two receivers are as good as ours. The problem is when the mediocre third receiver is indistinguishable from the first two who are also mediocre. Like in 2020.

If there is any talent at WR (other than the starting pair) it's more likely to be revealed with Moore, who seems to actually scheme to get WRs open.

As if the Phillies slide wasn't enough. Starting tonight.

Thinking about a 53 man roster, WR3 is probably a mid to low priority. 22 starters, plus 3 x ST, plus 1 x NCB, 2 x backup CBs, 2 x backup S, 2 x backup RBs, etc.  From an investment perspective, Campbell is probably the lower end of the scale, but priority wise, I can see the FO and Coaches being more excited about a backup DT or DE than a WR3.  You have to go light somewhere.

Their season needs healthcare.  Quite a slide they are on.   It needs to turn around when the calendar switches to August.

You would think that WR3 should be the same level of priority as NCB, wouldn't you?  Just as DE and OT are relatedly important.  You do have to go light somewhere, but I don't see backup CBs or S or even RB as being more important than #3 WR.  The #3WR is on the field a lot in 11 personnel, much more so than the backup CBs or Ss, by design.  Of course, injuries happen so having depth is important, but injuries happen offensively too.

I am more excited for Parris Campbell than a washed up Julio Jones, though not by much.

In this team, no. With a QB that likes to run, with a Franchise RB, 2 x Franchise WRs and 1 Franchise TE, I think they view the position as something along the lines of, we'd like a good WR3, but in terms of cost, etc, we'd rather spend resources elsewhere. If one we like falls to us, great, but we'll get by otherwise with what we can find.  Let's throw a lot of mud at the wall and hope some of it sticks.

Well, we all know what my thoughts are on building an offense based on that.

Me too. If no average WR3 is there for the team, I'd at least want a TE2 that could be an equivalent.  But WR3 and TE2 are new the LB from previous years, so neither are anything more than plasters over a broken pipe.
