We're due a big WR breaking through. Was Hank Baskett the last?

WIlson is going to look good in one on one's because he's big. Let's see how he does in a game setting.

Agree that it's a huge wait and see with him, but he's doing it in team drills too, not just 1 on 1.

I'd count Mack Hollins even though we moved off him too quickly.

Nah, I'm talking the obsession with a BIG WR, the DGB kind of guy. Hank was 6-4 220, DGB was 6-5 240. We always seem to obsess over a big RZ target and a big RB. We're due.

Happy he is having a great camp but this training camp stat thing and "records" is like winning "money" at the local Rotary gambling night.

It's the most ESP thing ever. No one, and I mean no one is keeping track of TC passing records.

Thinking they stay put at WR3 with the options that they have.  Wilson has been coming on and Covey has made some progress.

Trading a good DT for a LB seems like the most un Howie thing ever.  Williams has been an impact player in the DT rotation and may be set for a bigger role which I think he should as he been tearing it up at camp and Fangio is high on him.

I could envision the glut at DB being used to acquire a starting LB.

Yeah, a 3rd rounder that Howie selected on the D-line that showed steady improvement and still has room to develop, there's probably not a middle linebacker in the league Howie would trade that for. But they should try and identify someone that's actually good, not pro bowl level good as it's simply not realistic, but that's proven plus has a couple years of control left on their deal. Maybe you can steal Muma from the Jags. Foyesade & Lloyd are the starters there, though I would want one of them, that's a pipe dream for the way we view and value linebackers. But Muma may be able to be someone we could steal. He is pretty good player in his own right and still has some potential I don't believe was reached yet and has 2 more years on his rookie deal. There has to be other middle linebackers in this similar vein that we can make a deal for.

Is this a plea to Howie to make a move?

Thank you!!! Been saying this for years!

Hopefully Jurgens isn't serious because that would be a major blow

Pretty sure we all have, for years.

If Howie only upgrades one, which would you rather it be? LB or WR3?

Not sure if there will be an identified WR3 on this roster.

The 11th guy on the field will be a case of matchups, situation, etc.

They will still run 12 personnel and I anticipate some 21 looks with both Barkley and Gainwell on the field.

He should've put his foot down more in the off-season when we had over 50 mil under the cap and there were players to sign and potentially trade for. Really need Baun & Trot to hopefully make some noise I'm afraid.

LB. I think our offense is still strong even if we only have a serviceable at best WR3. I want the defense as strong as possible. The defense we saw last year was sickening.

LB and it isn't even close. AJ Brown, DeVonta Smith, DG, Barkley and Hurts as a runner. So many options before WR3 is even considered. LB depth is pure garbage.

Not even close I don't think, LB. We have enough at 3rd wide receiver plus just drafted two guys there. And we have weapons all over the place on offense with a quality o-line. The difference a stud MLB can make to this defense in general would do so much across the board it makes no sense how Howie & company can't see that. Hopefully Vic keeps his foot on the gas with this. Some of his statements today are eye opening a least.

My Rotary doesn't have a gambling night.  I want one!

LB is such a tricky position to get right.   There aren't many that stand out across the league anymore.

If you wanted the Eagles to trade for a LB who do you have in mind?

Guys like Hasaan Redick, TJ Watt, Micah Parsons are listed as LB but really they are pass rushers.
