We're due a big WR breaking through. Was Hank Baskett the last?

Chase Claypool broke through Nate Gerry that one game

Yeah, a 3rd rounder that Howie selected on the D-line that showed steady improvement and still has room to develop, there's probably not a middle linebacker in the league Howie would trade that for. But they should try and identify someone that's actually good, not pro bowl level good as it's simply not realistic, but that's proven plus has a couple years of control left on their deal. Maybe you can steal Muma from the Jags. Foyesade & Lloyd are the starters there, though I would want one of them, that's a pipe dream for the way we view and value linebackers. But Muma may be able to be someone we could steal. He is pretty good player in his own right and still has some potential I don't believe was reached yet and has 2 more years on his rookie deal. There has to be other middle linebackers in this similar vein that we can make a deal for.

Chad Muma is one I've been asking about for a few month's also.  Jags also have Ventrell Miller behind Lloyd and Foyesade to go along with Muma.  Maybe a 5th for Muma and a 7th might do the trick?

This is the kind of thing that frustrates me. Christian Elliss isn't a game wrecker, heck might not even be a starter, but he provides great depth and top ST play. Elliss is better than Dean at this point.

It’s fine, we didn’t need him then or now. What we did need was a living corpse of Shaq Leonard.

Well damn, color me impressed. MLFootball is going to share this post with the heading of INSANE or WOW.

Any word on how Ainias Smith is doing?

Kickers are going to get injured this year trying to make tackles. The rule change on kickoffs will prove to be a disaster.

Today or in general? The general feeling is that he has been a huge disappointment thus far. I haven’t seen a single second of him practicing but that’s what I’ve heard.

Has there been any mention of someone else doing kickoffs? Seems like a good job for a depth player on d

I have a feeling that Bradberry stays with the team.  He's made some plays in camp and my guess is that Fangio will appreciate his versatility.  Bradberry has also always bounced back after a bad season.

I think he sticks around too but more just because there isn't much of a reason to cut him and I don't see anyone trading for him. I don't think Brown will be ready to start the season so Bradberry probably plays in a reserve S role and by the time Brown is ready they will reassess what the current roster looks like.

Mann was practicing them today.

Bad. He's had drops, muffed punts and just not showing much juice or wiggle. I haven't heard of even one good rep from him.

Not too good, unfortunately. Been disappointing according to reports.

This is 100% going to happen and Jake is too valuable to lose. They need to have Mann or someone else kick off. Someone on defense/ST is probably competent enough to work out at for kickoffs just to have an extra defender out there.

I'm still not 100% sure on the rules but it sounds like precision is key on these kicks unless you are comfortable sacrificing field space. I don't know if anyone outside of Elliott and MAYBE Mann can pull it off.

How has Nolan Smith been?

Nah, I'm talking the obsession with a BIG WR, the DGB kind of guy. Hank was 6-4 220, DGB was 6-5 240. We always seem to obsess over a big RZ target and a big RB. We're due.

Nick/Kellen ran a 13 personnel play yesterday with Goedert, Calcaterra, Uzomah and the only receiver was Wilson. Nick is going to have his big WR.  Hopefully Wilson exceeds Pascal.

Be interesting to watch the careers of Ainias Smith and Malik Washington.

🤔.  So we should be impressed that he ran, dove forward and grabbed a piece of foam, while landing on another piece of foam and rolling over?

I get that its a tackling drill, but tackling stationary foam isn't impressive to me.  It doesn't make me say "wow".  And we had better hope that he doesn't need to do this even with the new rules.

Ainias Smith seems like a good candidate for phantom IR. He missed all OTAs and mini-camp with his leg injury from college. I presume theyd like to see if he comes back with some more juice next season, and some better hands.

I think they IR him and send him home with a JUGS machine.

I was thinking him and maybe even Mekhi Garner if his hamstring doesn't heal up. I think they like his position flexibility but he's not there yet.

I was on fence about Milton Williams not knowing what to do with him, but it might be time to lock him up for 3 years before Carter wants a MEGA deal. Get the most out of him as you can with Carter and Davis on their rookie deals.

Fangio in his press conference today said he really likes Milton Williams, said he watched him from afar and last year Miami tried to trade for him but Howie said no.

Did they somehow already decide he is the QB for the US team? Thats really random to have him doing the commercial for the LA olympics. Why not one of the LA QBs?

Also, if QBs can run, it should be Lamar Jackson starting. Hes faster. Hurts is more of a power runner which isnt needed in flag. Jackson also has the better arm. I dont believe Jalen's ball actually reached the torch. That was CGI.
