He's not wrong.

Who on last year's team would be described as a physical player for their respective positions? I came up with two: Nolan Smith (who is undersized) and Zack Cunningham.

Fletch.  Carter the first half.

The Cardinals added something that will make you vomit aside from the product on the field.

Take your niece or nephew and buy them this then drop them back off and enjoy the chaos

I’ve heard more positive than negative things about Trotter Jr in camp. Maybe he ends up being the tallest midget.

Simmons has been a very good player.  But just looking at his career numbers, his career seemed to really takeoff his 4th season (his first with Fangio).  His INTs went up, but his PDs went way up.

Vic and Simmons may not see eye to eye on a personal level (as some have speculated), but it does seem like Fangio elevated Simmons’ career.  So do the Eagles really need Simmons, or do they just need Fangio to elevate the safeties already here?  Fangio was there 2019-2021.  Simmons’ first of his 4 all pro seasons was 2019

Steen listed on 1st team above Becton when Becton keeps getting most of the reps.  Reminds when they kept trying to act like it was a competition between Mailata and what's his name before they finally named Mailata the starter like a week before the season started.

I'm curious what it is about Tyler Steen that the coaches hate about him. I wonder if they view him more as a T. He could also be a piece to trade off to OL needy teams while he still has some draft position value. If he sits all year again that value is gone.

Geez, he’s coming back from an ankle.  Maybe in pads they wanted to not stress his ankle.  I do think they remain cautious.  Frankly, I suspect the "illness” going around that takes no more than a day of practice is something like dehydration and heat taking a toll so they get some time off.  Don’t push past conditioning.  Notice the lack of "maintenance” days this season?  I think the approach this year is to trust the players and the training staff.

No… I just don’t want him to be jinxed for the regular season.  It feels like that’s what ESP is trying to do.

ESP is just trying to stay relevant... nothing more, nothing less.

I'm not basing my comment just off of today. There's been enough signs over the past year and a half that point to them not being thrilled with him.

*Not even competing last year for RG with Jurgens

*Not even being first backup last year and opting to play Opeta ahead of him all year

*Tons of draft prep on high pick T/G versatile players

*Nick forgetting his name when asked about the RG spot during the spring

*Bringing in Becton immediately after not being able to draft someone and putting him at G almost immediately.

Even with just today coming back from an ankle he was predominately the second team RG behind Becton. Becton is the guy with the illness, not Steen. If he's taking reps on the second team that doesn't hold water to argue it's maintenance. If it was maintenance he would be taking predominately first team reps and coming out, not playing his reps on the second team. Stoutland himself said it's important for the starting 5 to get as much time time together as possible during TC which is not how they are operating with Steen right now.

Can one stay relevant if they never really were?

Fair point.

Browsing the Cowboys reddit seems like they are using Parsons more at LB this summer than at Edge.

This is a guy I could see the Eagles wanting to bring in. Oh well.

Yeah, he does… I just think that will change this year. Maybe I’m wrong.

and I realize most people are still going to be picking Christian McCaffrey number one overall, and I understand that. I myself just could not do it because I got him fifth overall last year, and I’ve never been lucky twice in a row.  Of course, if somebody else drafts him, he’ll probably stay healthy. If I pick him, he’d be done 😂

Please pick him. Please!

If this doesn’t work he can always write an article about Jake Elliott having gang ties

Too much

Lol that’s nothing for a starting IOL. 3m guaranteed is a great move for seAttle

That unofficial depth chart is very college-esque.  Having the "/" so no ones feelings get hurt I guess.

Also, if Josh Sweat and Avonte Maddox are still starters by week 1 I'm going to be very disappointed.

Unreasonable to be concerned about our edge rushers? I had concerns before the summer and none are standing out in camp it seems.

I think there’s a lot to be concerned about when it comes to the edge rushers but how they have looked in camp is lower on my list. With Huff it’s can he be a three down player and not be a complete liability against the run and with increased playing time. With Sweat it’s has he peaked in 2022 and on the down slope of his career with his knee. Can Nolan Smith, who actually has shown good flashes in camp, actually do it in a game and not just be a camp try hard for the second year in a row. Can Graham be anything more than a 15ish snap per game player in his 15th season. After those 4 there’s really not much depth left. It’s a lot of wait and see which can go in any direction.

Supposedly, Hunt has been standing out in camp. I realize most people had written him off as more of a project when we drafted him, but he has been showing flashes in camp. He may contribute sooner than people originally thought.

As for the overall production in camp by the edge rushers, I think we do need to consider that Moore's offense is all about Jalen making quicker decisions and so far Jalen has thrived running it. With good receivers that know how to get open and a QB making good, quick decisions, it's going to be harder for the edge rushers to make plays.

Every year I get excited for the preseason to see what players have improved or stand out in the (preseason) games. Unfortunately, it seems every year we end up not really utilizing the preseason as a way to improve the team. We're usually playing our 2nd team against the opponent's starters and our 3rd team against their 2nd team --- so it ends up being tedious to watch and uneventful. Hopefully this year we'll use the preseason games more in a manner to get the starters a little work and to give the depth guys that are likely to make the team some practice in a game setting instead of just giving a majority of the reps to the guys unlikely to make the roster. Needless to say, I'm excited to see guys like N. Smith, Hunt, Ojomo, Ringo, Rodgers, Mitchell, (hopefully DeJean later), Ricks, McCollum, and even Bradberry taking safety reps ... and see where they are in their development. On offense, hopefully we get competent play by the backup QBs since we have an important battle for WR spots. It would also be nice to see Shipley get a decent amount of work.

Seems like he’ll be headed to someone we play this year
