That piece made Sirianni look really bad. Not as a person, but as a coach and offensive mind. I have no idea how they kept him if the sources info is right.

Too much

I am getting annoyed by these reports now always including who the agents were.  I know, that's the price of the scoop for these reporters, but as a fan, it matters not at all who the agent is.

That unofficial depth chart is very college-esque.  Having the "/" so no ones feelings get hurt I guess.

Also, if Josh Sweat and Avonte Maddox are still starters by week 1 I'm going to be very disappointed.

All we can do is hope Sirianni steps back and lets Moore go, but if there’s a time when things go bad, can this coach pull them out of it? I just doubt it.

With Debby in town, starters will stay dry. No reason to risk injury in a meaningless game.

Wouldn't shock me if game is postponed, if major thunderstorms, lightning, chance of tornadoes.

Sirianni should've been shtcanned. This article is damning.

That's my #2 Quarterback.

Jalen Hurts to Dallas Goedert for a TD over the middle. Looked like Nakobe Dean trailing in coverage once again.

Maybe the article was necessary for repairing the relationship with Hurts. It may not be the whole truth.  If Suri was that bad,  he would not be here.

The truth is often not found in reports.

This begs the question even more, if things were this bad, why bring Siri back? Even if Moore turns the offense/Hurts around, he will just leave for a HC job and we will be back to square one.

Why bring Hurts back if the QB can't co-exist or follow coaching?

Sirianni going up in front of the team and apologizing is why players like Nick.

Read today’s 411 article on day 8 practice notes. Mentions how Dean has still been horrible in coverage. He is a special team talent, no more. Maybe he can help in short yardage and or goal line. If Howie demands he plays, the d will suffer and he alone could cost us games

I don't think Howie is telling Fangio jack-s about who is starting.   Dean has apparently looked ok in blitz situations.  LB is an issue.  Trotter has apparently looked good with run defense and blitzing. I would imagine he's a possible starter as the season progresses.  I also think Dean is likely still recovering from his Lisfranc injury which probably makes it difficult change directions as quickly.

If that was on his own volition and not one of the stipulations from Lurie + Howie to keep his job

I’ve heard more positive than negative things about Trotter Jr in camp. Maybe he ends up being the tallest midget.

The positives have been about his instincts.  He's not the most athletic player but if he shows good instincts he can be a competent starter.

So hurts only threw 13 passes yesterday and only 12 today.  No wonder he's having a good camp throwing the ball.  Sounds like he's been insulated from danger.  Probably lots of run plays and easy passes. The way an offense should be run with him at QB.

Keep the hate flowing.  You really have fallen down on the job.

Given how much I've been dying for a good LB, my level of disappointment in Dean is borderline irrational

After reading the article, I think Big Dom probably is the guy that makes the call on who starts.

A lot in that ESPN piece.

Siri wanted to prove his offensive chops and undermined Johnson at every turn, it came to a point where he was over ruling BJ so much that the team didn’t know who the play caller was anymore.

Hurts wanted to prove his contract worth and was pressing too much, he also lacked respect for Siri’s play calling leading to BJ playing the mediator role.

This year Siri has surrendered the offense to Moore, he is no longer having private meetings with Hurts and is barely attending QB room meetings.

This begs the question even more, if things were this bad, why bring Siri back? Even if Moore turns the offense/Hurts around, he will just leave for a HC job and we will be back to square one.

People can learn things and grow from them. Sirianni unfortunately made the mistake of hiring Johnson. One thing that is implied in the article is that BJ's relationship with Hurts actually made the situation harder. We'll see how things go now that, hopefully, prior relationships that cause bias are out of the building.

For the kajillionth time if the offense plays to it's potential and we make a deep playoff run, criticism of Sirianni would be asinine because he'll have made the playoffs with over 10 wins 3 years in a row with 3 different sets of coordinators, at that point if you're still worried about losing coordinators you're kidding yourself.

Would have been funny to have our highest win percentage guy in team history and probably that for the foreseeable future canned.

But yikes, forgot just how much people hate Sirianni here for like no reason. I'll step away until this article blows over. Lol.
