Non Football related, but I'm gonna post this here anyway (along with having posted it in WU). With regard to my mother's stage 4 lung cancer: A week or so ago, we went in for another CT sca

I could see where Tuilopoto may get left off of the roster.  I agree Maddox is kept as a safety as is Bradberry.

Marlon T is the back up NT unless Mustipher passes him.  He supposedly is having a solid camp as is Ojomo, who backs up Williams. Question is, do the Eagles keep six DTs?  If so, is it Booker, Mustipher or Gabe Hall that is # 6. Frankly, I think #6 is on the PS.

Steen has been hurt but was immediately number 2 at RG.  I don't think that's someone they cut.

I wonder if the Eagles would put him with the second string this week to get experience with them because they know Steen needs reps and he starts with the second string to get those reps in PS games.  A bit out of left field perhaps but I do believe the Eagles are going to have some misdirection about any question areas at this point in the season.

So is Avonte a full time safety?

@just relax is a Michigan fan and OL guy.   He can likely answer better than me.   But, I do believe that Keegan played exclusively at LG for the last 3 years at UM.   Switching to RG is a bit of a challenge for someone that's been exclusively used on the left side for so long.   It can be done, but I don't think its as easy as many people think.  Switching sides involves doing everything backwards to the way you have been doing it.

BUT, I also think that there is enough of a shuffle at RG right now with Becton and Steen that they don't need to mix in another guy there right now.  But, I think Keegan will be an NFL fixture eventually.  Just my two cents.

Agree with everything you say. Keegan is smart and quick and nasty. I’ve seen scouting reports that say he’s not quick but that’s nonsense. He was the quickest guy on that OL. He’ll need a lot of reps at RG to build muscle memory but he played in a Sophisticated system with pin and pull to both sides and lots of outside zone. That’s what Stoutland runs. He’ll be a 10 year pro if health allows.

Sigh, he’ll always be the one that got away. He’d be the perfect backup. Him with Hurts would make a great buddy cop movie.

Bummer. I remember watching golf with my dad and grandfather just to watch him putt. As a kid I loved his celebrations.

he had a couple of catches last night,  2 for 34 yards,  highest yards per catch. Which is what he did with the Eagles in the preseason last year.

We play football today

I don't think Maddox will be on the roster week 1, but may come back to it later.  The dude is fragile and no matter how good he was in TC, he didn't get much interest in FA and will get injured at some point.  May even be a PS guy that gets called up

As for the Cowboys, I've felt for some time they are in a quiet but heavy reset of the team this season, but the Owner is too afraid to say it.  Gone are the days that Jones is throwing money around.

Game tonight. Weather should clear up by game time but I wonder what shape the field will be in.  3” of rain expected. Already about an inch and a half with some flooding.  Tornado warning in the area.  I am about 40 miles from M&T and it has been raining steadily with gusty winds right now.

Hope they cancel it.  Pre-season on a field with 3 inches of rain, flooding in the area and potential tornadoes is every reason needed to cancel it.

Starters playing tonight?

Most starters shouldn't play, but there should be exceptions like guys in battles to start: Rodgers/Ringo, Steen/Becton, White/Baun/Trotter, etc.

Some of the starters will be playing tonight, but I highly doubt you will see the core starters out there. I imagine we will see more from the defensive side of things. Becton may be the only offensive "starter" out there tonight.

More like best game I've ever seen. That was so bad it was hilarious.

I wish I could have seen Stoutland tear him a new a-hole in the film room
