It's crazy to me how many people in here get so worked up over the ESP Jalen Hurts no INT streak - you guys know he's 100% trolling all you dorks, right?

Seems to be only one or two gay wads that are so far up qb1 V, they'll take a worthless TC stat and use it to creampie their qb1 fathead

Ras compare for the win.  Sterns has the top speed,  by a very solid amount.  Simmons has crazy agility - shuttle and 3 cone numbers.

Berman said the Eagles OL didn't perform as well as he would've liked today. Gave up some pressure and running holes weren't very big.

Bo and Zach both agreed that all of the Patriots WRs looked better than anyone on the Eagles not named Brown or Smith, so this could be another team they explore a trade with if they want to add a WR.

I wouldn't mind waiting to see if the Texans release Woods or maybe try and trade for Metchie. Noah Brown seems to be a popular name that has been thrown around

Is it possible that baby Trot ends up beating out Baun, Dean, and White as the best ILB on the team by mid-season? I know it's early and an awfully small sample size but seems like that's where he's headed at this rate.

I don't know about all 3 of them but one of the three? Sure. Shoot, Dean may wind up on I.R. by mid-season.

They're right, Aiyuk is not a true #1, he's always been overrated. And his stats aren't just inflated because of that, they are literally inflated. As in, statisticians juice them to make them look better than they are. They regularly do this for California, Boston, and NY athletes. His actual receiving yards last year was just around 800.

This is a wild take, bro. Wth are you on thinking he only had 800 yds?

For what it’s worth, I think the Eagles will go heavy, not light, in the secondary when they make their final cuts. I wouldn’t be surprised if they keep eleven or possibly even twelve. They can go light at RB (3) and TE (2), knowing that the next in line at those spots won’t be claimed and should easily make their way to the practice squad where they can be activated, for a while at least, for game days.

There is no point in cutting NFL talent at one position — DB in this instance — just to keep what are essentially JAGs at another simply because the numbers feel right.

I think they keep Uzomah as blocking TE, unless they do that thing I talk about endlessly about using big players like 6th OL or players on defense to block.   They need a good blocking TE and they have one,  Uzomah,  who was 4th best in the NFL last year at run blocking.  Players like Becton, Mailata, Davis and Carter (and others) could do blocking TE stuff,  but we aren't actually seeing that happen.  Uzomah is a substantial improvement over Steen at run blocking.  4th Quarter run out the clock and win running was not as good as it should have been last year,  and the Eagles should make it a priority to make it very good this year.  The players on the 90 can accomplish that objective,  but not if they're cut.

I think 11 in the secondary.  I think there is going to be a commitment to running the ball this year, so I think they go with 4 RBs.  I would be surprised if they don’t go with only 2 TEs because they probably view Johnny Wilson as a potential one at need.  The dude can block.

I think the Eagles can tell the difference between a WR and a TE.  Johnny Wilson should be a great blocker = as a WR.  Take Smith off the field,  put Johnny Wilson on the field, and get an upgrade at blocking at that position.

Uzomah was the 4th best TE at run blocking last year.   They should keep him for top quality TE blocking from the TE position.

Siri, show me the worst case of EMB pre season trade value delusion in recorded history.

Even if Al Davis' corpse crawled like an eldritch horror out of his grave and somehow retook the reins at Raiders, even with a combination of supernatural force, dust and weird black mush for brains at the helm they still wouldn't be offering a second rounder for Kenny Pickett.

Minshew outplayed Pickett last year, and it wasn't close.

Oh, the answer to that is "getting anything in a trade for Eli Ricks"

Pickett, as a first round QB on his rookie deal, with 2 or 3 years left on his deal, could easily be seen as worth a 2nd.  Maybe Pickett + someone else = 2nd.  This assumes that the team trading for Pickett doesn't have a good starter,  perhaps because of injury.  He has a winning record in the NFL, and he took the Steelers to the playoffs.  The case could be made.

(1) Smith is a willing and good blocker, (2) Smith has to be covered by someone-same effect as blocking, and (3) that would telegraph the play because no one in their right mind takes Smith out of the game for Johnny Wilson, to do so would say, "its a run to Wilson's side." Why don't you compare Wilson and Smith's RAS scores for us.

We traded a 3rd and two 7th's for Pickett and a 4th.

How is any of that worth a 2nd round pick to anyone else?  Pickett hasn't shown anything at all yet to bump his value up that much.

You're retarded. Why would the Eagles take one of their best playmakers off the field for a late round pick just to block? You need to watch the game or turn on some film of Smith. He's actually a good blocker

Hey Eagles fans...hope you have all had a great offseason.  I have a question Vikas, maybe I am that stupid, and I am definitely that lazy when it comes to researching cap rules...

Any compensation to players goes against the cap right? It's just a matter of what year the money is allocated to the player?

Well not Tom Brady. He had a consulting firm hired by the Pats. He could then take below-market compensation because he made up for in consulting fees.

Cooper DeJean is activated and will do individual practice in NE.  Missing the TC thus far and it would be interesting to see what he can do.  His college performance suggests that he can be a top performer as DB whatever role they put him in.

As it stands, he'll probably have a redshirt year until/unless injuries come into play. He said he's only been learning Nickel and outside CB and there's just too much of a logjam right now for me to think a rookie having only about a week of TC will push for any type of prominent role.

He will get on the field for sure if he is the player may of us think he is. Even if he is the dime LB or something. There will be packages to get him playing time.

These are 2 weeks old, sorry if already posted. But who's going to argue about seeing more of Kay Adams?

Hurts and some players he's known since HS and College have an "Accountability" group chat where they share feedback, workout videos, etc. Also, Hurts has been more vocal and less keeping to himself this year, being more outgoing. They also say he's faster, his accuracy has improved. She also couldn't get any drama out of Smitty, he's all business.

Apparently Mayo told his guys today that if a starter gets in to a fight, he will play the entire pre-season game. And if youre not a starter and you fight, you wont play at all.

Siri said Steen could start taking some reps at OT.
