Pickett has been in live fire against 1's.  That means something.

Pickett has thrown 13 career touchdowns despite 713 career pass attempts in 25 games played in his career.  That means something.

I believe Jerry's plan is to let Dak walk so Trey will be the QB in 2025.

Maybe but then they will have to sign Trey since his contract is up the same time as Daks

Good for Greg.  Great kid and real good locker room presence.  Would not be surprised to see him coaching some day.

Kid?  He's about 40 years old now.  Lol

McKee is clearly better than Pickett.

Has McKee played in a regular season game yet?  Has he played in the first half of a preseason game yet?

Pickett has a winning record in the NFL,  winning record both seasons.  Took the Steelers to the playoffs.

Disagree, I think it's a thought out plan. He worked with him before and knows him well and his work ethic, he also gets to be the guy to lift the stigma (perceived or not) of the NFL blackballing Kaepernick. It's a win-win for both team and league and especially for a coach who is trying to minimize negative news about his old team. He won' be a coordinator, he'll be a quality control coach or something.

Unfortunately Pickett is no better than Darnold.

unfortunately for who?

Darnold has a losing record.  Pickett has a winning record.  Pickett is younger, has more upside.

Dear God in Heaven, can we please stop with this "he has a winning record!" nonsense? You know who else had a winning record and took his team to the playoffs? Tim F'ing Tebow.

Unfortunately for the Eagles because Pickett doesn't offer any sort of improvement over Sam Darnold so it doesn't make sense for the Vikings to trade for Pickett unless they are throwing a 6th or 7th round like the Eagles way to bring him in to compete and be a backup at worst.

Pickett is garbage.

Greg Ward? Do you mean 30?

At least Tebow was a big reason for the Broncos success that season.   Pickett just plugged into a Tomlin team that has never had a losing season and even improved after he got injured and was later demoted last year.

Well, yea. Running QB's are best.

Sam Bradford got traded for Derek Barnett and Josh Sweat.

Yeah that 45% completion percentage really juiced up that offense.

Younger than Dallas Goedert though. I think Greg Ward would be a great coach one of these days.

I guess you didn't watch the Beoncos at all that season but it was a lot of close grind it out games where Tebow would then take over at the end of 4th quarters for some pretty exciting finishes and wins.

Nah, can't be 30.  He's been in the league since 1995, hasn't he?

Are we really debating the merits of Tim Freakin Tebow? He was a horrid NFL quarterback. And I question the judgment of any human who thinks otherwise.

No one is questioning that Tebow was an awful QB.  Just pointing out that despite how awful he was his impact on the Broncos winning and making the playoffs and winning a playoff game that season was higher than Pickett was on the Steelers having a winning record with him as QB.

 Tebow

"I played like dogshit for the first 3 and a half quarters but then really took over that game in the 4th by scoring our team's only TD for a 10-7 win. I'm so exciting and successful!"
