Jordan Davis has never been elite. He's been good at times. I think most of the time he's been meh and there have been times where he's sucked. He was horrendous in the Super Bowl.

PFF 70.5 puts him in the top 1/4.   He's right there between the best one and the one in the middle.

Backup NT is more of a need than 3rd WR. Outside of Davis, the only options they have are Tui and Mustipher.

been trying to think what the needs, if any, are.

The Eagles lost Fletcher Cox and all his snaps and replaced him with nothing.

The counter argument was that Davis and Carter were pre-replacements for Fletcher Cox.  As if the time period where Davis, Carter and Cox was a time of too much good DTs, and that not replacing Cox was just getting back to normal.   It also could be just fine with Ojomo replacing Cox.

But I do think that backup DT is more of a need than another WR.  Booker and Mustipher have looked ok.  Perhaps they're on the practice squad.  That would all be fine.

guessing client was in the heart of downtown and now one of the surrounding burbs then. Outside of sporting events I almost never venture into Minneapolis or downtown. Even places people might go to (breweries, etc.) might be in Northeast or other surrounding areas.

Xcel.  We worked out of a suburb office but after my first week at the one hotel on the same street I decided I needed more dining options than the 3 Applebee's within a 5 mile radius.

Apparently there are arrests being made following the investigation into Matthew Perry's death.  I sure hope he didn't get those drugs from friends -- could that BE anymore ironic??

I wonder if those friends will be there for him when the rain starts to pour.  Like they've been there before.

As a pro QB or an "analyst"?

As an analyst. Mike Shanahan ruined him as a pro QB.

After seeing RG3 deep throat that elephant C sized croissant, at least we know he has a future on OnlyFans if he so chooses.

Strange that RG3 and OF would be at the forefront of your thoughts, but hey you do you!

He waited this long for THAT?

Damn.  Really wanted him.  Should’ve got him for that price

This is a big season for Davis. No Cox to mentor him, no excuses about experience and other DTs will look to him for leadership.  His change in conditioning is a big plus that is indicating Davis isn't rocking up with the same attitude as last year.  Jalen Carter can absolutely help him along too - teams will be worrying about him too

That's a pretty ugly rep from the back 7 as well.  None of Baun, Maddox, or White could make that play either?

Actually, solid play for the Ravens blockers. But how is this a negative on Davis?  The primary player that blew this play was Nolan Smith.  They are lined up in a Wide 9 look.  Now, the Wide 9 is designed to control the edge.  That’s exactly what Smith failed to do.  He went too deep and was sealed by the TE completely out of the play.  Maddox was responsible for the zone behind Baun.  I think Davis’s responsibility was primarily the A gap with responsibility for the B gap secondary. Same for Carter. Carter takes the A gap, which has merged with the B gap by the RG pulling.  The C takes on Carter 1 on one with a little help from the positioning by the LG and the tackle double teaming Davis.  I thought White actually made a good read on the RG pulling but the LT used his lateral momentum to block him Baun. Maddox goes to fill the B gap and the receiver seals him. Well blocked by the Ravens.  So did the run go through the A, B or C gap? Well by the time the ball carrier is through the hole, arguably the A gap, but in reality, I think it’s the B gap.

Now targeting Davis for getting moved by a G and a T, not the other two linemen for getting stopped one on one?  But those two held their gap responsibilities.  No, the Ravens were able to double up Davis and also block out two LBs with three OL.  But what has me concerned on that play was Smith.  The TE took him out of the play so easily.

Boooo Howie. Eagles obviously didn't want him for whatever reason.

No way the Birds were paying that

Turned out they arrested two doctors and 2 dealers.  One report I saw said the doctor was charging him $2,000 for a vial that cost the doctor $12.  Perry spent $55,000 on the stuff, maybe in addition to the already prescribed therapeutic dosage (not sure).  But, in any event, they were bilking an addict while selling him the stuff he didn't even need and it led to his death from accidental overdose.  He apparently had ketamine in his system in an amount consistent with general anesthetic.  Really terrible.

Which is why they have Blankenship playing the other position. No way the Birds are paying $15m + at the Safety position for a season.

The Eagles have been oddly content with positions that look really shaky this offseason. LB, WR3, RG... I think safety is less so, but CJGJ has injury issues and Blankenship is still not proven as a plus player to me yet.

Curious if this is them just not liking what's out there or if they're trying to save as much money as possible to roll over to next year.

Oh, both I agree they wouldn't sink that much money into it. But if they wanted Simmons they could have took him instead.

Looks like Howie is keeping Pickett and instead flipping Hurts to the Vikings
