How is that crazy?  Greg Ward actually played well in the preseason.  Smith has been terrible in OTAs, training camp and now preseason.  At no point has he ever showed anything.

If Steen dropped the RG battle (and is healthy), he should probably transition back to tackle.  They drafted young guys that can play G and brought in a vet with experience at G…all figure to be decent depth.  
 

Steen’s upside for this team is now being the first tackle off the bench.
