Yeah... Picket runs the check down offense well enough as a backup QB. But McKee comes in and on his 1st throw reminds you how much better he is. 

Again, Pickett is a fine backup. McKee is a potential starter in this league. 

I’m late to the game… Huff playing tonight is pretty interesting and honestly a little concerning.

Unfortunate series for him slipping on the play before which looked like he would have broken a nice one up the middle. And then stopped short on that pass- first time in 2 games he didnt fall forward for extra yardage.

The 1st half O-line performance was bad. It makes it hard for a QB to get comfortable. I'd like to see both guys get better blocking. I guess I would say I like McKee better at this point, but I'm not sure I can really conclude a lot based on just the last 2 preseason games. McKee gets to play against greener defensive players, so he should look better. I don't think the receivers changed much through the course of this game. 

Pickett’s first two drives… just nothing there. The deep ball to Ross IMO wasn’t that bad of a throw, Ross just did a poor job of locating it and making any kind of adjustment. He tried to hit Gainwell in the wheel route, and I think he actually threw a great ball, but Gainwell gave up on the route momentarily and made it look like a bad miss. There was nothing else he could do on the play. Every other receiver was locked up.

They weren’t going to put a rookie 6th rounder ahead of Mariota. Especially since if you plug Mariota in, less of the play calling changes. 

McKee is definitely better than Pickett. I thought Pickett had the edge after last week’s game but after tonight I’ve done a 180 and then some
