Sirianni hasn't talked to the trainers yet

(I don't know that's the last thing said about him from last night)

With regard to my mother's stage 4 lung cancer:

A week or so ago, we went in for another CT scan to check on the cancer and today we had the appointment with the oncologist. The CT scan came back clean. After 5 years and 2 months of chemo (and her first oncologist refusing further treatment 3 years ago so that she could live out her days), the cancer is gone.

She has to keep taking the oral chemo pills, to keep it gone. But the cancer no longer shows up in the CT scan.

that is incredible!

Congratulations to her, and also to you as we know how much you have been there to help her through.

I am so happy for you both!

It seems like he is a better QB than Pickett.

Backup Offensive Lineman doubling as backup QBs are best.

2023 day 3 class includes Ringo, McKee and Ojomo.

Those are starters he is pushing around as well.

They didn't know what they had in McKee, basically they had some snaps in the second half of pre-season games last year and snaps in practice as the 3rd string QB. That doesn't tell you if a young QB can play in an actual NFL game that counts against a real defense (not vanilla pre-season looks). They have more data now, but even then, they still don't know if McKee can handle a real NFL defense. Which is why they need to play him in the first half next game and get a better read.

Pickett has started real NFL games with high stakes (Steelers are a perennial PO contender). He wasn't great, he wasn't awful, probably around Minshew, who also has started a few NFL games. They know his limitations but also known he's seen real NFL defenses with real NFL defenders. If they have to start him for a couple games they know the moment won't be too big and he'll know what he's doing out there.

They know McKee can make really nice throws given time and a clean pocket. That's all they know about him.

McKee was making quick decisions.

They also have a better idea in what they have in McKee because they’re the only ones who see him every day in practice, in the building, meetings, etc.. If you used that as your reasoning in trading for Pickett then you’d have an actual case.

Carter (6), Ringo (9), RIcks (11), McKee (28), and Smith (29) were all in this Way-Too-Early 2023 first round mock.

Am I correct in assuming they didn’t even rank K or P, much less return and coverage teams?  Sounds like ESPN, alright.

Some of these rankings points towards a perceived lack of depth, as DT should be higher than 22, TE should still be top 10 if based on Goedert alone.  QB at 11 is basically saying Hurts is their #11 ranked QB — because which backup QBs would honestly lift a team’s league ranking on their own?

WR being 7 definitely points to a bunch of nothing after Brown and Smith, because as WR1 and WR2 I’d probably rank them top 3.

It’s ESPN and their stupid FPI formula. They have Dallas as the favorite to win the Super Bowl every year. The whole thing is a joke.

People whining over the Eagles essentially giving up the value of a late 4th round pick for Kenny Pickett should really look up the Eagles last 10 4th round picks, and also maybe re-evaluate their lives. Someone actually said "4th round picks are REALLY valuable." Oh no, we might have missed out on the next Zech McPherson or Kvon Wallace. Bunch of whining drama queens.

Pickett and McKee both have zero trade value.  The Eagles screwed up giving up draft value for Pickett, but no one else is going to give up value for him after an underwhelming preseason.

Completely disagree… Quarterbacks always have trade value when there is not a ridiculous contract attached to them.  That is not the case for either of them.  They may not have high draft pick value, or even mid pick value… But they do have value.  I think you’re being a little bit hyperbolic with that take

I personally love that the collapse last year has a lot of people underrating the team.  I have zero issue with it.  They are still right in some areas (or at least they have legit reasons for criticism).  But the media is famous for recency bias and not factoring in everything

Morgan throws chairs better than Kenny throws deep outs.

Ojomo, Booker, Mustipher and Tuipulotu all looked good last night. I'd be more than comfortable with a rotation of those 4 instead of waiting for Jordan Davis to find it.

No one is losing sleep over it. Just a message board conversation among fans. I'd argue that all draft picks are valuable. I'd much rather have their original picks and Tanner McKee entrenched as QB2 instead of the current situation.

You're worrying about a hypothetical scenario that hasn't happened yet, that may or may not ever happen, and assuming this hypothetical scenario is going to end in the worst possible way, which no one in the world has any way of knowing.

If you're going to flip ish about something, at least do it with something more relevant like who our 3rd WR is going to be.

Backup QB is more important than 3rd WR.  3rd WR is the most overblown thing on this board.

Pretty spot on with most of these. However, I just don't understand why people are so quick to defend Kenny Gainwell and say stop complaining about him. He's 100% JAG. In the 16 games he played last year, 10 of them he averaged less than 4 ypc. In 7 of those game, he's at 3 YPC or less. His long up until his 32 yard TD run in garbage time up 31-7 against NYG was 18 yards. His long reception is 19 yards and it's safe to say the majority of his catches just come on dump offs. Not taking away from those yards, but those receptions aren't anything any other back can't do. There's not one thing that's special about his game. No problem with him being RB3, but there's no reason to say he's fine as RB2. I want more than what he brings to the table.

Yup, after his big playoff game I had high hopes for KG but last year he was awful, just really bad, he must be really good in practice or something because I havent seen anything from him that would compel me to keep him on the roster.

Like it. Funny how JTO thinks he is surging up the depth chart. Maybe anywhere but here with the weird, frustrating loyalty to certain players.

With our OL scrubs against NE first liners Pickett had no chance. He was throwing from inside a well. I’m not saying he’s better than McKee, just that there’s really no basis of comparison. It is clear though that McKee has a better arm.
