I hear you… but we can just agree to disagree. It’s never been something that bothered me all that much. I understand that there’s not much competitive advantage to be gained in Steen’s case, it’s more of an overall philosophy regarding discussing injuries in general…

There are things that definitely bother me about Sirianni, so I’m not trying to go out of my way to defend them… Just my take on injuries

It’s always irked me since the time a year or two ago some fringe role player clearly was hurt on field, reports came out he tore something and was gone for the year but they still didn’t want to answer the question after all that came out.

Non Football related, but I'm gonna post this here anyway (along with having posted it in WU). With regard to my mother's stage 4 lung cancer: A week or so ago, we went in for another CT sca

I'm so happy with how often we're hearing/seeing positive things about Hunt. He was one of my pre draft guys but thought he'd be a big project.

Now my other pre draft guy Smith on the other hand...

They really are. We've been critical in here but the switch was flipped and it's clear as day they are going to do whatever they can to convince us Pickett is garbage and McKee is the next AJ Feely.

I don't think they really need to convince anyone that Pickett is garbage, it's already plainly obvious.  Well except for the Pickett Truthers.

I don't want to overreact to a practice report of a single play, but It may be helpful for Pickett to be humbled on the depth chart a bit. I think the guy has talent and upside, but he just seems to be struggling a bit right now. It's something young QBs go through. Let him play against the 3rd team for awhile and see if it makes a difference.

Problem is he won't be humbled, instead he will likely throw a sissy fit like he did last year in Pittsburgh he when he was demoted at the end of the season.  Thata part of the problem woth the mess Roseman has gotten the Eagles into by trading for him.

Mess?  Do you think Kenny Pickett is an important enough player in that locker room where anybody would care if he threw a fit?

Even the Eagles social media team is trying to unload Pickett

Awesome.  I am so happy for you and her.  Folks, that is one tough mother.  From all of us, please let her know we admire her perseverance.  Phenomenal lady.  I am humbled by her accomplishment.

I can see the future and it is only a matter of time before some player is branded for not being as tough as VA’s mom (most aren’t.) (There’s the football related.)

Thank you, I'll let her know that everyone here is happy. She asks about the EMB all the time because she knew when the Eagles decided to kill it and that I was doing what I did to keep it alive.

She is definitely tough. Through this, in her mid/late 80's, she's been on chemo for 5+ years, had 4 strokes (two full and two mini... without any major side effects, other than a little impaired speech, balance issues and some short term memory issues) and fell out of bed (because of the balance issues) and broke a bone in her pelvis making it so that she couldn't walk for about 6 months. At one point dropping from about 140 lbs., down to 98 lbs. and fighting to get back to 123 lbs. All of this with Covid going on at the same time.

Keep all of that in mind and that she'll be 88 in November. For the past 2 or 3 years, she's been trying to convince me to 'strap her' to the riding lawn mower so that she could cut the grass. She's been serious, too. She wants me to physically tie or strap her into the seat so that she can cut the grass lol. The doctors all get a kick out of that when I mention it during appointments.

Either Howie's ego is that bruised because he can't stand people saying he lost a trade, or they're trying to pump him up to trade him.

I haven't been able to watch either of the two games, but I did glance at the stats. Have any of the starters played at all? I haven't seen any stats for starters, so I'm assuming they haven't.

Maybe some of both? After all, how could a 1st rounder suck this bad.

No real starters on offense…except Becton a few plays in game 1.

Fangio has played some starters…more in the 1st game, but not for very long.  I think the only starters on defense that have not seen any preseason snaps at all are Slay and CJGJ

Not sure how it shakes out this year, but our starting CB trio next year sure looks like Ringo/Mitchell/DeJean.

That's why Rodgers 100% should be available for a trade. I think that might be why he's playing so little right now.

Things looking good for the NYG

Rodgers will be locked up if he plays great. They won't just let a young stud walk.

Barnett played pretty well for them last year. Of course he leaves and performs well.

Most of the starters on defense have played.

Sweat hasn’t played yet too

Take the sack?  Um, no.  Throw it 5 feet over his head and out of bounds.  That $40M per year for Daniel Jones was nearly as stupid as drafting him in the first place.

Another INT

Interesting that the Eagles have an open roster spot. Probably need a TE to get through practices and the last game.

At least when Moore gets hired as a HC next year, Daboll will be available for them to hire as OC.

Can’t wait for giants fans on Twitter to say it’s just the fact he has no weapons and the oline…. No he just isn’t very good.

It's not a mess.  They took a swing to see if they could coach him up to a tradeable asset.  Risked a 3rd to try and get a 2nd.  In all fairness, hissy fits should be something we are all used to on this board.

Pickett for Wan'Dale Robinson.
