Great if Dean and vansumeren play against backups and 3rd stringers in regular season games we are set

This. Keep seeing post these bogus PFF ratings for PRESEASON games. Where no game planning is involved, where players are in there vs backups to the backups. Makes no sense

Yabu in the house now.  Sixers are gearing up.  Eagles and Sixers should be fun this season.  Loving it.

For the life of me I have no idea why that dude still posts here but some of the other posters have been axe'd.

Probably because he doesn't attack posters, which is admirable considering how often he is singled out in posts like this. You think a person should be banned just because they have an unpopular opinion about something football related?

I mean, I don't think RAS scores are going to make or break a player in the NFL. I find them interesting as a tool to measure and compare a player's athleticism with another's. In no way does it measure football IQ, instincts, hustle, or heart. So, IMO, that's where the relevance ends. But I don't get bent out of shape because another person prioritizes athleticism over other attributes.

I believe professional players need to spend as much time perfecting their play at their key position as possible and don't really get into the "cute" stuff trying to use their athleticism at a completely different position. But there have been coaches in the NFL that have toyed with such ideas, so it's not completely absurd. I just don't think Refrigerator Perry is a better RB than Walter Payton or that Taysom Hill was ever a better QB than Drew Brees. IMO, you don't take out an all-time great player to use gimmicks that really in the end don't statistically have merit.

I do really like dual threat QBs and I'm pretty sure my opinion already strays away from the mainstream in that I don't worry about the "injury risk" of running. I have my own argument on that matter which people, I'm sure, have already seen. But I'm not so into dual threat QBs that I'd consider just cycling through the lesser talented ones to save money on contracts. I'm all for finding the right starter and sticking with him / building around him.

Finally, I don't understand having two favorite teams, but I'm not going to tell somebody else how to enjoy sports.

Am I missing something that just makes RR a terrible all around person that should be banned?

RR isn't even an eagles fan at all, he just follows the team because he likes running QBs and any player that used to be a QB or RB in highschool and wants them to play running back in the NFL and the eagles have a ton of those players. Then talks down to all of us when no one wants to hear his ideas of players like mailata playing running back

The thing is, I don't really get the impression he "talks down to us." I think he's just promoting his beliefs.

Again, for me, I'm going to be an Eagles fan. That's what I have always been. But I understand that there are people that are fans of players regardless of teams. You have to expect that of player family members like Jason Kelce's mom and players themselves. But even though most of us are here because of the Eagles, is it so bad that another person is here because of some players?

Speaking of things to put on ignore. Maybe ESP runs this account. Everything they post is very on brand with him.

No it's not bad but, I have him on ignore anyways.

No, I think he posts just to annoy people and everything is shtick. Either that or it's autism or something, and I don't mean that as an insult, I mean it seriously.

And I don't necessarily think he should be banned, but I don't think other posters should have either. So of all people to keep around, keep around someone who admitted they aren't an Eagles fan who, in my opinion, tries to be as obnoxious and annoying as possible, is what I was referring to.

A few notes from Chris Franklin that stand out to me. I like Booker a lot as a rotational DT but you have to wonder if there's room for him on the roster. Do they keep 6 DT? Maybe a name to watch getting moved for WR depth? I also said after the Patriots game that the 2 point conversion may have been a confidence boost that Ainias Smith needs. 2nd straight good day of practice for him. Would be a big boost if he figured it out.

-Defensive tackle Thomas Booker IV continues to make a strong push for a roster spot. During the one-on-one period, where offensive linemen faced off against defensive linemen, Booker won all three of his battles, including a clean move against offensive lineman Nick Gates that immediately got him into the backfield. Booker is a name to watch as a dark horse candidate to make the roster.

-Wide receiver Ainias Smith continues to improve as camp progresses. Smith caught a 20-plus yard pass while running to the sideline during the two-minute drill, securing the ball and getting both feet in bounds in tight quarters, with two defensive backs trailing him.

We used to have some fans from other teams post in ATNFL on the old boards. A Pats and Giants fan were long time posters. Not sure why they stopped since the new board

He literally called the entire fan base stupid because most don’t agree with him like 3 days in a row

He can be a bit of a RAS hole but is generally harmless

Yeah,  they were fun posters.

My 2 cents: Obvious troll is obvious.

Becton is fine btw, per McLane.

That's good news but I wonder what it's going to take to get Keegan some RG reps.

Probably asking too much of him this early. Wiping his butt with the other hand and all

Looking at Washington WR depth

McLaurin

Crowder

Dyami Brown

Zaccheus

Luke McCaffrey

Jahan Dotson

Probably one of those guys will hit the streets in a week.

Please be McLaurin…. Please be McLaurin… Please be McLaurin…..

Seriously. No matter how bad the team or QB is, he torches us in every single matchup.

What would you send DC for Dotson? What is his value? His 5th year option would be around 12 million.

Maybe I’m missing something but I feel like Dotson is worth at least an early day 3 pick. He’s an upgrade on most teams if he’s healthy.

Trade Ricks or Jobe and maybe a conditional late pick

Why would they want Ricks or Jobe?

Ricks has flashed talent and Jobe is a good STer - I didn’t look at their depth chart though just first two guys that come to mind given our depth at corner
