Spotrac says the roster bonus was "due at training camp," which leads me to believe the Washington paid it. So $1.57mm cap hit in 2024, $2.757 or $3.257mm in 2025 (Spotrac has a 500k roster bonus in 2025, OTC doesn't). Such a great move to lock up a cheap option with talent.

In terms of modern WR #s, Dotson is about to make the biggest downgrade ever. He's going from #1 to what looks like a # in the 80s. Maybe Brayden Mann can let go of 10 and take 38 or something like that now that punters can wear higher numbers.

Get Nakobe Dean out of a WR number

Someone said it was already paid on the third day of camp. I think it was Caplan.

Everyone can rest about the WR3 now.

Me after complaining about their 3rd WR for two years

Wonder if his passport is all in order so he can play in the week 1 game.

Hurts has zero excuse to not have a massive season.

For what it's worth, I think he will.

Why do you hate him?

Well that’s an exciting trade. Don’t love giving up a 3 for him, but it’s fine.

As much as I have overvalued picks over the years, I have to admit watching Howie pick up extra draft capital during the draft has moved me off that soapbox.

Over/Under

Receptions (35)

Yards (550)

TDs (5)

Don't know what to make of the trade. It seems like great value but it is weird why Washington is bailing so quickly AND trading within the division.

Was texting my one buddy who is a die hard Washington fan living in Cali.  Sounds like he was not jiving with the coaches and they want to move to larger receivers.

How true is that, I have no clue.  I just wanted to make one more post and get some precious likes.

I assume the organization will be putting #5 back into circulation .....

It was a goof.

I think he has a big year, surprisingly.

OK, so how many WR do they keep now? 5 or 6?

Locks- Brown, Smith, Dotson, Covey

WR5/6- Wilson, Smith, Campbell

I can see Wilson going to IR. Smith's late camp resurgence saved his roster spot. Campbell is gone.

I'm guessing they keep 6, but one of Wilson or A. Smith finds his way to IR. Campbell just lost his spot.

Dean, Sweat, Huff, Nolan Smith all need real DE numbers. Would open up numbers for skill position players. Put Gainwell in a real RB number while we're at it.

Moore likes larger WRs. I think Wilson gets a roster spot.

Either Dotson sucks or Washington is dumb. Haven't seen enough from the new GM to say either way. But teams don't just bail on top 16 picks, and especially in-division, unless they have a damn good reason to.
