Unbelievable they won't let him wear 12 because of Cunningham but they are going to give up Celek's 87?

That's temporary.  They haven't given out Celek's number since 2017.  Doubt they will if they don't have to.

The numbers of Grier, Ross, Campbell, Ngata should be available soon.

I went heavy with DL.  I also anticipate that they will IR Steen after roster cuts.  Toth, Jenkins, and McCollum should all clear waivers will be put either back on the roster or on the practice squad and elevated for game day.

I seee no benefit to keeping Ainias Smith on the 53 man roster.  I find it very hard to believe there is any threat at all of another team signing him if they wanted to being him back on the practice squad.

It seems like the game is way too fast for him right now and could really use the year to get comfortable and learn how to play in the NFL. He's not going to be able to do that on IR, and I think the Eagles believe in him enough to keep him on the 53 to try and develop him.

I would rather have him on the roster than Campbell/Ross, who may get 15 targets all season.

Some scrub WR wore it last year all camp. I had to look up his name, Jadon Haselwood. Uzomah was also wearing it this year.

#13 would be just ok. 80, 83, 86 aren't much better.

He can get that year on the practice squad.  I don't see the point of wasting a roster spot on him when there is little to no reason to believe that another team would want to make room on their 53 man roster if we were to cut him.

I am very close to you. We can put up to 2 on IR designated to return as part of the cut to 53, so I have Steen on IR to start and Brown on PUP. I have Jenkins on the 53, but he is an IR candidate too. I didn't keep Hall in order to fit Jenkins, and I kept Toth since Steen goes to IR (and Stout seems to love Toth). Booker was my last cut and I hope he gets to PS, but I could keep him and play same game with Jobe. I just think Clay pushes for Jobe on special teams.

Samuel had 39 more targets. Point is that if Dotson had so many interceptions thrown while he was targeted then why did the other Redskin WRs who played with the same QBs and had more targets not have as many interceptions thrown when they were targeted?

The answer is that he probably has a bit of that Reagor/Quez in him where he isn't going to fight for thr ball like he should and will half ass it at times.  That certainly correlates with what fans on the Commanders sub have said about him and Brian Mitchell has hinted at.

One of Dotson’s biggest traits is that he is known as someone who fights for every catch.

More likely it’s the routes he’s being asked to run most often.

Eagles OT Lane Johnson says he 'realistically' has two or three more seasons left

The Philadelphia Eagles spent the past several seasons wading through speculation on when Jason Kelce would retire. The star center finally walked away this offseason at 36.

Now, the question turns to how long stud right tackle Lane Johnson could stick around. The 34-year-old told reporters Wednesday that, physically, he thinks he could play another six years but likely won't, Kevin Patra of NFL.com reports.

"I think physically ... I could play to 40," Johnson said, via the Philly Inquirer. "With my movement, I think physically I can do it.

"What weighs on my mind is just, my kids are getting older; my dad's getting older and has had some health issues."

Johnson added that he thinks he "realistically" has two or three more seasons left, which would put him on the Kelce-track.

"We'll see," he said. "It's hard to step away from something you love and something that you've done for so long. I grew up as an only child, so this is really the only brothers that I've had, being a part of a team."

Thanks for reminding me about the IR at cuts.  So, yeah, Toth in for Steen (IR).

I just think that Booker and/or Hall have more value in the bigger picture.  DT is a premium position relative to S or TE.  Further, Williams may not be here next year.  But I could see them making sure that McCollum and/or Jenkins are safely in house for week one.

I trust Howie to play the game and have a read on who is most likely to be claimed. I'm not sure they want to go into week 1 with only 2 TEs on the 53, so Jenkins would have to be a gameday elevation. I think the least likely to be claimed is Jobe -- he really doesn't add much as a CB. So maybe he gets cut and they try and get him to the PS to keep Booker. Or maybe Wilson goes to IR with his concussion.

I just hope he doesn't end up like Peters and not know when to retire

I'm sort of thinking the opposite. Good special teams corners are often claimed. The Eagles have done the same thing themselves a couple of times in recent years.

A 6th isn't a lot for a solid pass rusher.

Nike set tonruin the great alts they made last year.

It seems the change got it closer to what kelly green actually is.

I liked the vibrance of the other green but actually they may be getting something right this time.

I have very little faith they fix the helmet. That was the biggest issue for me.

Yeah it looked almost neon-ish and candy-ish. It was too bright. Need to make it darker.

Were are you getting 39 more targets from?

2023
Curtis Samuel (16 games)
91 targets
62 catches
613 yards

Jahan Dotson (17 games)
83 targets
49 catches
518 yards

In my post last night I didn't take into account that Samuel played one less game.  So looking at it at a per game basis:

  Samuel Dotson Diff
TPG 5.69 4.88 0.81
RPG 3.88 2.88 0.99
YPG 38.31 30.47 7.84

So again, I wouldn't say that Samuel was substantially better than Dotson.  They were basically both WR2 and not by no means a high end WR2.

My question is, why couldn't they simply have gotten the correct shade of Kelly Green last year? They had decades to do it and still got it wrong.

The first airplane was invented 121 years ago. Nike still can't figure out color shades. Love it.

I've been looking for a green hoodie with grey sleeves like that. Ugly this year

What would it cost to land Drew Sample (TE from Cinci)?

Remember the first Eagles midnight green unis Nike made looked like the Jags uniforms. They still haven't been able to get it right all these years later but they're better now, still not true midnight green.

After Anais Smith was drafted there was so much noise about him becoming the starting number 3 and replacing covey at PR and being a chess piece in the offense that can move all over, I think all those claims were greatly exaggerated and now Im hearing media and posters twisting them selves in pretzels trying to figure out how to keep hom on the 53 saying hell definitely get claimed if cut, which again I think is greatly exaggerated, eagles fans tend to over value their own trash.

I havent seen anything from anais that would compel to have to keep him on the 53 and with the trade for Jahan I think Howie feels the same

Having said that im going to guess he still makes the roster as Howie doesnt like jettisoning 5th round rookies
