Crazy he had 7 TDs his rookie year despite missing 5 games.

Saw Watkins and thought the Eagles re-signed Quez and cut him out of spite

Well, here's where I am at. Some notes

- I kept just 2 TEs as I think they believe Jenkins will get to the PS. If not, Stoll might also be available

- Steen to short term IR allows Toth on the 53. I thought about Kinnard, but he was on Chiefs PS, so I think they can sneak him through

- I cut Bradberry. I think Howie will try and trade him. I wouldn't be stunned if they cut McCollum and bank on getting him to PS in order to keep Bradberry longer for a trade. His salary is guaranteed anyway.

- Kept Ricks over Jobe, and I think they hope Jobe gets to PS for special teams

- Boston Scott back to PS

- A. Smith turned it around enough to get a spot

Give me Paris Campbell and put A Smith on the practice squad.

Dotson has performed, Metchie really hasn’t. Frankly, this looks like a team (Texans) generated "leak” to try to drum up trade interest in a player that looks like a bust at this point.

Still prefer metchie but im in the minority opinion

There's some TD luck for sure, but he's not "bad".

What is TD luck?

Agree.  Campbell is just the better player right now.  More speed, more reliable pass catcher, good yac.  If he gets hurt, then you bring up Ainias.

Funny, I went to watch Ainias highlights and the first 2 punt return highlights he drops the punt 🤣.

Corey Clement in 2017

I doubt there's a better candidate that will be cut that's an upgrade.  Davis is likely to get a far higher percentage of the snaps than he has in the past.  So why invest resources in a trade?

Not a trade, but Howie should have it prioritized for the waiver wire if there's someone else out there they like. Maybe they go with Gabe Hall who can at least occupy two blockers instead of getting pushed back constantly.

I'm not sure he makes it to the PS. I think it is more likely Campbell makes it since he was hurt most of camp.

Younger guys are more likely to be claimed by a bad team willing to make a bet.

Dunno if this account is legit.

I don't think anyone is going to pick up Campbell.  I would be more concerned that Smith would just look elsewhere if he's not on the roster.  I think they should lean towards keeping Smith.  It does seem to me that he does not have the same quickness that he had in college. I am hoping that will come back as he recovers.

I mean it's not some sort of staggering news.

Vets get released, not waived. Campbell would be released and becomes a free agent and is free to go wherever he wants. There's a much higher chance to get him on the PS than A.Smith.

They finally signed a player! Congrats Jerry!

No teams are interested in a high priced corner that cant run anymore?

Shocker...😒

I'd expect to see leaks of the exact opposite though if Howie is trying to make a trade. Make it seem like he is going to be on the 53 to try and get any offer. The issue seems to be that according to OTC, his $9.64mm option bonus isn't due until 9/1, so if someone trades for him now, they assume that. I am guessing the Eagles could pay that now so the acquiring team only owes the $1.2mm base, but then his dead money would be like $15.4mm this year (unless they spread it out between '24 and '25).

I saw a tweet from a Dallas radio guy saying they got down to 4 year agreement this AM but I couldn't tell if it was legit.

Anyway, my money league thanks you.

Could have been 4 years, $100mm had they done it last year when they should have.

Now JJ is going to renegotiate after this season...

Dallas overpaid. Good for CeeDee.

I hope this screws over San Fran now.

My guess is that the person that is posting doesn't have a real source.  They didn't play him the last pre-season game.  My sense is that they wanted to make teams think he has a roster spot in order to see if they can get an offer.  Frankly, if I was a team looking for a CB, I would sign Jobe or Ricks if they got cut before trading for Bradberry.

Beyond screwing themselves by not doing this last offseason for at least $30mm cheaper, they also carried him on the cap all offseason at almost $18mm instead of getting this done, dropping the cap hit, and having flexibility to keep players. When people wonder why they have 2 rookie OL and no DL depth -- this and Prescott are why. It's borderline criminal mismanagement.
