I’m so conditioned to seeing random cornerbacks get cut and wondering if we should claim them. I’m constantly reminding myself that we’re finally good there.

Still can’t figure out if he’s a basement dwelling ex-World of Warcraft cheesy poof eating weirdo, or Rain Man minus the hyper intelligence.

We get it. You hate white people.

He's probably one of those pimple popping Final Fantasy type people

Is Kwesi too lazy to send out a text to the GM group chat?

Don't you do Rudy like that! It's about his determination and passion, and also about his family relationships.

Invincible wasn't good though.

It’s about his recklessness and his selfishness chasing sacks and putting the team in a bad position by committing multiple penalties on a single play. Derek Barnett molded his game based off Rudy.

Most "based on a true story" movies change details to make what they think is a better narrative for the movie.

Regardless of how true to life they are, from a purely entertainment factor, my favorite football movies are Remember the Titans, Friday Night Lights, We Are Marshall.

Comedy/for fun: The Program because it's kind of a B movie schlock and I saw it with my football teammates in High School so it is nostalgic in that way. Necessary Roughness, The Waterboy.

Unpopular opinion: I did not like The Replacements or Any Given Sunday.

Rudy sucks.

Both the character and the movie.

I have strong, opinions when it comes to football movies. My number 1 evaluation of a football movie is how authentic the football scenes are. If the football scenes look crappy, I have a hard time enjoying it.

#1 for me is Friday Night Lights. Great story and honestly, the most authentic football scenes I’ve seen in a movie.

I have Rudy as #2. It has a great story (although often embellished) and fantastic football scenes.

#3 is The Program and it gets that high based on the football scenes alone.

Remember the Titans has a fantastic story, but some of the most god awful, Disney made, football scenes ever. Invincible is even worse with the football scenes. Even as a Birds fan, it’s a straight cornball movie.

John Ross reportedly cut.

It's better than "The Garbage Picking Field Goal Kicking Philadelphia Phenomenon" lol but I didn't think it was bad a bad movie.

Plus, I like the soundtrack. Good or bad though, I watch it every year before the season begins. It helped give me a Kelly Green fix. I suppose the new alternates could help in that regard though.

I enjoyed Invincible but don’t go knocking the garbage man kicker.  That movie is so bad it is good.

To this point, I think the only two guys cut thus far who MIGHT have been on anyone’s mock 53 are Ross and McPhearson. And even then, they wouldn’t have been on very many.

Although it’s not necessarily a "football movie”, Heaven Can Wait (the one with Warren Beatty) is pretty darn good. The other Heaven Can Wait (Gene Tierney) is good too.

That is the Home Field advantage. The team in Green will get boo'd in Brazil! Plus it's going to be hot! 🙂

It's going to be nighttime.  Darker jerseys will have no difference to heat then since there won't be extra sunlight attracted to them.

Imagine if I said the opposite of that to someone.  Some of you people here, especially HazletonEagle, would be having a full on meltdown.

I've never seen North Dallas 40. There are a few older football movies I need to watch for the first time or start to finish rather that just bits and pieces. Brian's Song, The Longest Yard (OG, not Sandler), All the Right Moves to name a few.

Do watch North Dallas 40.  The portrayal of Staubach is priceless.  That might give some insight into how some on the Eagles viewed Wentz.  The original Brian’s Song is a classic, a made for TV movie back when that was a thing.  Try  Knute Rockne, All American.  And, of course, Gus, a movie that can on,y be explained by the use of drugs in the 1970s.  (Cheech and Chong should have made a movie about writing the story for Gus.)

The Eagles often wear white when it's hot. They do it for home preseason games all the time. Why would anyone be outraged at them doing that exact same thing in the Amazon region?

Exactly, we've used white more often than not for home games in the Sept and early Oct weeks over the years.

That's a great movie.  The book is very good too.
