EJ Jenkins waived. Eagles will be looking for a TE3 most likely when Albert O gets inevitably cut too. Stoll?

Stoll makes sense. EJ prime practice squad candidate.

Not sure Stoll has a lot left in the tank. Marginal players can't compensate when they age (or they wouldn't be marginal!), so beware as they approach 30.

We saw that with Ozomah in camp this summer.

Not so sure Stoll is an automatic pickup.  We could've just held onto him if we wanted him that badly, he wouldn't have cost much at all. Jenkins earned a PS spot for sure.

OK, if we start a Blog private equity firm, I'm in for $100.  We only need about $604,999,900 more.

It was a shame he couldn't build on that 2nd preseason game. Bring him to the PS and see what he's got next year.

Might not make it to PS after all.

Most "based on a true story" movies change details to make what they think is a better narrative for the movie.

Regardless of how true to life they are, from a purely entertainment factor, my favorite football movies are Remember the Titans, Friday Night Lights, We Are Marshall.

Comedy/for fun: The Program because it's kind of a B movie schlock and I saw it with my football teammates in High School so it is nostalgic in that way. Necessary Roughness, The Waterboy.

Unpopular opinion: I did not like The Replacements or Any Given Sunday.

I loved Any Given Sunday when I was younger, but I feel like it's gotten worse as I rewatch it. I really liked Varsity Blues and it still holds up. Voight was great in that movie as the a-hole Texas high school coach. I also think James Van Der Beek has the best passing form out of any Hollywood QB. I believe he played in high school.

Jenkins is 26, he makes the PS as a veteran injury insurance guy, too old to keep to develop.

He's 26.   Is that 'approaching 30'?

I bet he does.  Who needs TEs more than Eagles and they let him go?

He's still 25 and was a rookie last year. And a converted WR. He can still develop as a TE.

I like Invincible.  Fight me.

In unrelated news, I also really dig this Aztec warrior Eagles dude.  We shall fly to victory on the back of Quetzalcoatl, the feathered serpent 🦅 🐍

Eagles?

Jason and Travis Kelce signed a new podcast deal. $100M+ for the next 3 years. Jason has excelled in the post retirement thing.

I know it is not necessarily a football movie, but I love the fan mania in Silver Linings Playbook. It was partially filmed in my old neighborhood of Upper Darby too.....also from Upper Darby was Something for Joey. I grew up with Joey and the Cappelletis.

I'd take Noah Brown over Parris Campbell.

I'm no proponent of bringing back Stoll but he's only 26 so not washed or close to 30

That's a great movie.  The book is very good too.

The book (North Dallas 40) is better than the movie, IMHO.

A made for TV movie that is underrated is ESPN’s The Junction Boys.  Now it may be that because I grew up in Texas during the days of high school level 3 a days, it might be because I spent a year at Texas A&M but everyone knew about the legend of the Junction boys.  Imagine in the day of NIL and the transfer portal having a coach do what Bear did in 1954. @bpac55, I know you advocate tougher practices so that’s the movie for you.

Strangely not on the list..

Can’t have you being the majority partner so I am in for $125.

Eagles might think they need someone better for blocking. Jenkins is a converted WR and fits in the same mold as Calcaterra. Depends if some other team is in the opposite need of the Eagles and want to bring in a guy with some pass catching ability.
