Eagles cut Toth. Seems like an obvious PS guy.

Well, I had him on my 53, but that was with Steen on short-term IR. Since the IR spots are A. Smith and Albert O., looks like they will try and get Toth to the PS.

I guess Smith and Albert will be the two designated for return.  And Steen will be on the 53-man.

I really hope they don't have Smith return.  That would be stupid.

So now we don't have Campbell, OR Smith.

Ross cut too but that's no surprise.

but it would seem we still need to bring in someone. Those were the top options for WR3. We got Dotson but now we have no WR4. I'm not relying on Wilson for any significant playing time this year.

Was Gabe Hall waived already?

Haven't seen it, but I'd expect it. Booker out played him.

Yea what's Lamar's playoff record with his important FB?

In the playoffs, when the Ravens run, with Ricard, the FB, getting a lot of snaps, the Ravens win.  When the Ravens go away from their strength,  running, with Ricard out there a lot,  the Ravens lose.

Last year, the Ravens won one,  ran a lot,  Ricard with a lot of snaps,  then lost one in the conference championship, to the Chiefs, the Super Bowl winner, with Ricard not on the field too much, and the running backs not running very much.

That's typical across the board.  FBs help the run game.

Ricard's snap counts last year in the playoffs.

54% in the win over Texans

26% in the loss to the Chiefs

If Ricard gets a lot of snaps,  the Ravens typically win.

If you look at the regular season - 13-4 record,  Lamar MVP,  1st round bye,  there were 2 games where Richard had fewer than 30% of the snaps,  and the Ravens were 0-2 in those games.

Regular Season Ricard Fullback snaps 30% or more - 13-2
Regular Season Ricard Fullback snaps under 30% - 0-2
Playoffs Ricard Fullback snaps 30% or more - 1-0
Playoffs Ricard Fullback snaps under 30% - 0-1

Ricard (Fullback) playing over 30% of the snaps is highly correlated to wins.

I resigned myself to Bradberry staying on the roster this weekend. Howie is playing chicken and hoping someone deals a late pick for him after he's on the roster. His 2024 salary is guaranteed anyway, so no risk having him on the 53 for week 1.

Nobody gives a f about FB's anymore. 3 or 4 teams still use them. That position has become irrelevant to most teams around the league. WR3 is more important. TE2 is more important

I'm guessing Campbell or Ross end up on the PS. Maybe both.

I wouldn't be shocked to see Noah Brown. He played for Kellen Moore and is more than capable of playing outside WR.

Trade bait at the deadline? Maybe when Sydney comes off the PUP list they move on from Bradberry

Teams with a lead run the ball to secure a win. Teams trailing behind have to pass to catch up and since they are trailing often lose.

Breaking news.

Rosters with FBs are best

They might just stick with Brown/Smith/Dotson/Wilson/Covey

TE3, backup OL, keeping an extra defensive lineman might be the priority

But you need a FB to run. It's an incredibly important position on offense

When it comes to roster spot 51-53, Noah Brown>Jack Stoll. They can keep their TE3 on the PS seeing as they are going dumpster shopping for that position anyway.

I think they roll with those 5 on the 53, try and get Campbell and Ross on PS. Elevate Campbell for week 1 and deactivate Wilson.

Stoll will be back, hopefully to the PS. Not my cup of tea at all, but he's the only guy left

It looks like every team is releasing 2 TEs.   Some of those TEs have to be big guys who can block.

If Noah Brown is available, they should pick him up. It'll be upsetting if Booker and Kinnard do not make the 53

Yeah but they could also keep their WR5/WR6 on the PS and use that spot elsewhere.  Right now they at least have Dotson to step into a starting role if Brown or Smith get injured.  If Goedert goes down, it's Calcaterra and....Calcaterra.

And for a team that's always had solid depth on the OL, we're not exactly flush with options like we've been used to.

This makes the most sense.

If they keep Bradberry on the initial 53 they need to cut someone they wouldn't have cut otherwise.  Bradberry can't play anymore.  He doesn't play special teams.  He would most likely be inactive so cut him.

Still curious what they plan on doing with Sterns, especially now that both IR spots are reportedly filled. Either he's taking up a spot or getting waived/injured and reverting to season ending IR.
