For now, have to trust Fangio on defense. The roster isn't done, there will be some movement here and there still and guys stashed on PS as usual, guys on IR that will come and go. It always fluctuates.

So Bo Wulf answered my question yesterday. Ainias Smith and Albert O have to take up 2 of the 8 spots to return in the season. Eagles only have 6 left for the year. May or may not matter in the long run but using it on those two is head scratching.

6 is a lot but I have no idea why you'd use one on Albert O

I am happy we kept more on defense. The 4th RB, 6th WR and 3rd TE can be stashed on the PS. Carrying Penny and Albert O on the 53 last year was a mistake that Howie isn’t repeating. Better we kept Ricks and McCollum than a RB and TE.

Agree completely.

Last year not a single backup TE did anything. Stoll was just for blocking. The bulk of carries go to 2 RBs anyway and a 3rd to mix in and they hopefully didn't pay Saquon to give Gainwell too many of his carries.

We used 7 in 2022 and 5 last year (would be 6 if Justin Evans didn’t have a set back).

What a huge waste to use it on those two players.

Anyone nerdier than me who has been tracking their average age to start a season year after year. I’d like to see that in graph form please

I wonder how long we play out the option with Bradberry. I get that his money is guaranteed so there’s no benefit to cutting him financially, but at some point a guy like Cine has to be more interesting.

Surely someone higher up in the waiver order claims Cine before we ever get a chance to

While I was excited to see what a speedy, potential-fulfilling Parris Campbell could do in this offense, I do understand that he probably wasn’t the right option for the roster or for wr3 at this point.

Oasis is back.

Good times.

Why do they have to return?  Can’t they just leave them on IR all year?

Drops to 24.9 if we replace Graham, Slay, Bradberry with 23yo’s

Im not sayin, I’m just sayin

Wasting a designated to return on Albert O is so stupid. Reeks of Howie's ego unwilling to take the L on that one.

Howie needs better lieutenants too. Pretty sure this is Matt Russel's guy. Matt was in Denver in 2020 when he was drafted. Between him and Dave Caldwell I think we are lacking a bit.

They’ll break up before they ever make a concert date

Hope they won't look back in anger...

Packers might give Jacobs 30 touches in week 1, down their RB2&3.

I don't think we see Lloyd week 1, but he will be much better than Dillon soon enough.

some guy in my fantasy league is offering me Brock Purdy, Zamir White, and Nick Chubb just for CJ Stroud. Pretty tempting, should I pull the trigger? Is Stroud gonna have that much of a better season to justify not making this trade?

Never trade the one blue chip player for a pile of ok players. Nick Chubb may not even be the same anymore

You've been building up to this victorious post for a few days

I’m mostly just sad that it’s true.

Unless they find a better option from the released/waived players, you would think they would bring Campbell back after Week 1 so they don't have to guarantee his salary for the full season.

He may not, but I have an IR spot so it’s basically a risk free move. Zamir white is interesting. Question is will Stroud really finish that much higher than Purdy? Last year Purdy finished as QB6 and Stroud was QB9. Neither offer any rushing upside

True but, Stroud has more weapons this year and a full season of experience where he was very good. I wouldn't make that trade, also don't forget that Purdy is most likely losing Aiyuk, Samuel never stays healthy and McCaffrey getting through another season like last year healthy seems unlikely too

I can't for the life of me understand why they would keep Bradberry.

Because we have a very smart Lawyer GM.

I was leaning on declining the trade but wanted to get some feedback on what some others thought. Thank you for your valuable feedback sir
