Interesting.  And what are the requirements that need to be fulfilled in order to get a job as an attorney?

Except the degree is a JD not lawyer

Gotchya.  So either way they are burning 2 IR returns.  Those have value and it seems silly to burn them already (well almost certainly be using them later) on two players that offer almost zero usefulness for 2024.

Not burning anything.  Using the preseason designation  of right to return doesn’t cost them anything unless they decide to bring the player back. They get to bring back a player eight times plus an extra two in the playoffs. Doesn’t mean they have to bring a player back.  Used to be a player was lost for the season if put on IR in preseason but the teams realized that didn’t work well but they still don’t want IR used as a place to stash injured players.  So the happy median was still restrict but limit the number who can come back to 2 from the PS and those two or any one of the PS designated players count against the 8 limit the teams landed on for the regular season.  (During the COVID season they were unlimited in the amount of returns).  But they don’t have to return either Albert O or Ainias Smith. Any player on IR must be away from practice for at least four weeks.  Any time after four weeks, they can practice a player for three weeks but then have to make a decision to activate or leave on IR for the rest of the season. That decision is not triggered until they practice the player.  That activation triggers the return.  Last year, for example, they put Evans on IR (during season), started his practice window and then after three weeks elected to leave him on IR.

IMHO, if a team places players who might recover during the season on IR in the PS because they would miss time at the opening of the season but might be able to return, that it would be criminal to not use the designation.  That doesn’t mean they have to trigger it but it gives them the option.

Eagles have several players that absent an injury settlement because they were waived injured will revert to IR but can’t return this season without going through waivers.  Harris, Ngata, for example. A player on IR can be released when healed.  While on IR they continue to be paid.

He needs to learn how to catch the fn ball is what he needs to do

A. Smith had the best catch rate in the SEC last season. Too much is made of the muffed punts and a few drops in TC adjusting to coming off a stress fracture with surgery post combine.

Does Dov or any of the 103 players know that when you have two people tied at #2, there is no #3?  Herbert would be #4, and so on.

Marquee addition lol

Maybe they'll get Gore out of retirement to complete the trio of washed RBs with Elliott and Cook.

That circus midget has never been over anything in his life ...😉

My life has lost all purpose and meaning without daily training camp updates.

Did it really have purpose and meaning to begin with?

He deserved that contract and to be a starter on a team?

Better question is, was he in a booster seat when he signed it?

none

A week until the season and no end in sight for Aiyuk, Trent Williams, Reddick. It seems like Aiyuk will play(maybe?) but the other two seem content to hold out into the season.

Maybe the team overrated him but I don't think the fans do they have been bashing him for the last 2-3 years
